I passed the E-5 promotion board today, big step for me....wow was it nerve racking...should pin on my Sgt June 1st at lastest July 1st.
This was my first board, I have only been in the Army for 2 1/2 years, do you remember how your first board was? I know I will never forget this, it was like nothing I have ever exp.
Bro I got promoted to Corporal meritoriously, which was great. For sergeant I had to wait until I had enough points in a very crowded MOS field. I want to say it took me 4 1/2 years to get promoted. Again congrats bro.
Congratulations, bro. I was an E-4 when I got out, but had accumulated enough points to be promoted to E-5. I weighed my options, and due to the fact that I would have had to extend to be promoted, I chose instead to get out and go back to civilian life.
Congrats, that's a big step up! I was in a crowded MOS too and I was on the list for three years before the points came down from max so that I could buy beer for my poor unpromoted friends. <hint, hint>
