I would think the 49ers safety is in play and Yeremiah Bell might be a cap casualty soon. Improving the team's range over the top would be a big improvement on defense. Zach Miller dreams don't appear likely right now.

That can change although I think they're pretty damn high on featuring Clay as a H-Back for then a double-TE formation. We're talking to someone not sure who, could be Addai.

Well, here is one of the things that happened:

Henne throws deep down the sideline to Marshall for an incompletion:

David J Neal says "through Marshall's hands"
Ben Volin ( I think) says "ball short and off target"

Same play.

 

I'am not worried about Henne throwing passes, I know what he can do with the football, I want his teammates to rally around him, I want him to get this team pissed off and ready to fight..

 

Hmm, I'd guess that 'Mando was not impressed with the performance of the offense at the first few practices?

DAVIE— The following are updates from the Miami Dolphins second training camp practice at the team's training facility on the Nova Southeastern University campus:

-- Sparano said after practice that he strongly endorses the addition of QB Matt Moore, who played under Sparano during his days with the Dallas Cowboys.

-- Sparano calls waiving Crowder "one of the toughest decisions since I've been here."

-- Teammates said they were shocked about Crowder being waived. But also a sense of the show must go on.



-- Sparano says there's no way whole offense will be close to being installed by season-opener against Pats. Focus will be on Pats prep.

-- Henne had Marshall open deep down left sideline. Underthrown. Incomplete. Some in crowd groan.

-- Brandon Fields can punt a football a long ways.

-- Henne just made a nice improv play. Scrambled to left to escape pressure. Fired to Marshall over the middle.

-- Long pass from Pat Devlin to Patrick Carter draws only cheers of day from Dolfans. Pass was down right sideline - 35 yards or so.

-- Reggie Bush, other newcomers active in following practice though they can't participate yet.

-- Dolphins doing some 11-on-11 now. Defense appears to be winning the battle.
