Well, it looks like the money we had earmarked for Orton can be used somewhere else. Ray Edwards is gone. Where to now? Zach Miller? Mike Sims-Walker? Kevin Burnett?

All hell is about to break loose I think. So many cuts announced and I think there will be a ton more that people didn't expect.

Stealing Zach Miller from the Raiders who really want to resign him would be my first focus..... Just me.

Signing at the least Ronnie Brown or Ricky Williams back to the RB stable to solidify that spot would be second.

Zach Miller and Braylon Edwards would be a massive Coup and a gargantuan splash. which means that it has a zero chance of happening.

    LMAO... probably.

    You're right though.
If they have now made the decision to see the development of Chad Henne through this season then the focus absolutely should be to get Henne all tools necessary to have success or to fail with no excuses. Miller and Edwards would give him good weapons.

I think Zach Miller is the most important and will be the hardest to pull off.... if were even interested.
We need that proven weapon to attack the middle of the field along with Bess in the slot. I see a lot of pieces hinting that Miller is the Raiders top priority to resign though.

We need another RB. It'll most likely be Ricky, Ronnie or Barber. And look on the bright side Dolfans, if the team sucks, you can cheer for Ricky and/or Ronnie on their new teams! Unless it's an AFC East team.

You beat me to it. I'd rather have Floyd than Edwards. Maybe not ahead of Sims-Walker, but I would celebrate if we signed Malcom Floyd.

Brian Waters and Dashon Gholsdon and Laurence Vickers.

With Barnes off of the menu, who will be that speed rushing/ST lb remains to be seen.

    not terrible.

but we need a guy that can run verticals. and I would lean toward a guy with size to really offer no excuse whatsoever for Henne.

Braylon Edwards, I like to re-unite him with his college QB. give him a comfort zone, and give us a massive set of starting WR's.

Hmm, I'd like to see a Veteran Rb added, a Portis, an Addai, maybe retain Ricky Williams, I don't like heading into the season with a Rook Rb and Bush as the presumptive starters at running back with only Lex behind them

I like the idea of getting a good guard to firm up the line.

BTW Daunte Culpepper signed with an agent and is looking to get back into the NFL. :pointlol:

I'd only be interested in Culpepper if there was someone we needed give a draft pick to for him.

We should get a TE, RB and Guard. I'll believe in John Jerry when he proves he's got something.

Dahl + RB (not named Barber). If Henne's our guy, beefing up those two areas will have the biggest impact. Henne's best friend is a damn good running game. I'd love Zach Miller, but I don't see that happening.

that is why I said that it is not a terrible idea.

Alot of good ideas to improve the team..which means that the Dolphins will not adopt any of them.

I am kind of hoping we go for UFA LB Stephen Tulloch. I know he doesn't fit the prototype for Ireland as he is only 5'11' 240 lb, but the dude can tackle. He had 160 total tackles last year.

    Steve :)

Since Ireland seems to lean towards cheaper alternatives I do like Kevin Boss at TE also.

My preference would be Zach Miller, but I don't expect it to happen. I would pass on Braylon Edwards.

If he's a UFA, it will be his decision on if he goes or not though. He may take less money to go to a different organization.
