Only reason I'd watch that movie is because of Emma Watson but I'm sure I could just google her scenes after it comes out.
Ive read all of the books. I started reading them when i was eight, or even younger (im only 20), but i stopped reading after the 5th one. I watched the first two movies, which TOTALLY ruined it for me. Not bashing for those who rather watch movies...but the movies are a FRACTION of the experience of the books. Ive seen only the first two movies, and heard enough of the other ones to stay away from them and not ruin my memories of this series. I actually decided to finish reading them sometime mid june, so in two weeks ive read all 7 of them, which was epic. Ive read the first four numerous times as a kid, and read the fifth one once, but in june i simply read all 7 of them back-to-back, and I am damn glad I did.
The first 2 aren't nearly as dark as the rest. Btw, it's worth noting the first 2 movies were directed by the same guy. After that he didn't direct any movie after those.
I have a gig tomorrow night and a surprise 40th b'day party to go to on Saturday. Gotta wait until Sunday to see it. ****!!!!
tonight at midnight? I got tickets for tomorrow 10:05.....got my brother into it, he has watched them all THIS WEEK....and is pumped for tomorrows movie! I cant wait either.....so far it has a 8.7/10 on IMDB
What? You didn't see The Happening? most compelling mystery ever, involving the questions "WTF? WHY? Can I have my money back?"

The fact that it's in his mouth while the only thing occupying his hands is the need to expose his right shoulder sets it over the top. I can't tell what would be gayer, finding out that the cigarette was photoshopped in or finding out he actually had the cigarette in his mouth.
The only thing I have to say..... Spoiler I thought the point in splitting it into two movies was so they could follow the source material better? I may be nitpicking but I came away rather disappointed. Maybe I just had extremely high hopes after how good part one was there was almost no way this one could match it...
I haven't seen it yet, but the reviews on rotten tomato from both critics and fans have been stellar.
10/10. i loved it. closed all the loose ends, and was a great ending to an epic story. IMAX 3D was INSANE!!!
Watched it on the same format. It was awesome. I've never read the books, but I think I'm going to. I can't remember the last book I read. I didn't think the 3D added a whole lot to it, in comparison to other great 3D movies. However, it tied up all the loose ends for me, answered all the questions. I went with some friends who read the books and they said they did a really great job of keeping with the story and explained all the necessary stuff. If you've seen the other movies, it's a must see.
Also, the trailers sucked.....until the last two: The Dark Knight Rises teaser & Sherlock Holmes Game of Shadows trailer. I wonder if the 2nd SH will be as solid as the first one was, IMO.
You liked Sherlock Holmes? I think that was the last movie I saw in theaters and I wasn't too blown away by it.
Were you watching the same movie everyone else was watching? Spoiler If so, I am severely disappointed that you failed to catch the real twist. It was hinted throughout the movie that maybe Harry wasn't the person we'd all been led to believe (See: his thirty second exchange with Hermaphrode and Waffly near the lighthouse during the first shootout; the scene later on when they all take for granted the Werewolf's death at the hand of the Demanders; the all-too revealing soliloquy by Harry as he cleaned his gat after the 3rd gunfight). The ending only confirmed the suspicion as he was dispatched by whom the ignorant viewer perceived to be terrorists, but were in fact mystical Freedom Fighters and Harry, had been the terrorist all along. M. Night himself couldn't have done it better.
The books are great, won't want to put them down, like the da vinci code. They add a lot of information between the films as well. And speaking of that, I assume that there was a lot left on the cutting room floor, especially during the battle. They had to film stuff with the secondary characters in battle. I wanted to see Luna, Seamus, Ginny, etc knocking some death eaters around. I think and hope we'll be getting extended editions similar to the lord of the rings. I haven't seen those extended versions, but heard they do add a lot. I'd definitely buy the potter ones.
I'm seeing it today, I can't wait. And for those who haven't read the books, I can say they blew away the first 7 movies. IMO that series would be on the hundred greatest books ever list. The depth and nuance in the writing is incredible. I felt the first two were geared toward a younger audience in that the issues were typical 11-year old's issues, but the nuance was still there. The next five books though dealt with timeless coming of age and good vs. evil issues. You also end up seeing that things you just glossed over in the first two books were actually pivotally important once all the questions were answered.
I am reading Dealthly Hallows now. I wish they included in the movies Harry and Dudley Dursley shaking hands. I feel it was important to show them seeing eye to eye for once. (I know it was in the deleted scenes of pt 1)
Why not read from the first one? lol I know youve watched the movies, but youd be more familiar with charachters, imo.
I have them all but the first one......I am kinda dabbling in them all. But Im reading chamber of secrets now...
