Call me a skeptic, but he looks like he hasn't seen a weightroom in years.

It's been 10 months and he's only ALMOST one hundred percent?

Sweet Kwanzukka, I didn't realize his leg injury was that bad. That's more concerning than it is heartening.

I guess. I was expecting him to have a bigger upperbody since he had to heal that leg for so long.

    We'll see what he does.

I agree with you. He has good mass in his arms and delts. Just looks like natural, and not muscle size from HGH or Juicing. He has put in plenty of quality weight room work IMO.

Hong Kong Phuey is a big boy, you can't teach size son, symmetrically balanced, well proportioned athlete at 300 lbs, that body will only get better..What you have is a large new prototype pass rusher with great hands..I expect him to be on the field with Wake and Starks in a 3 man rush for sure.?

1st round draft pick comin off the bench?..This line is serious, and this kid can play ball..

Damn we are a young big football team..

I didn't think of that, but who knows? I didn't like him having some New England Pats picture framed on the wall behind him. But that would go for anyone. Even if he were dealing steroids, Odrick doesn't look like a juicer. He just looks like a big ol' raw boned country boy who eats lots of steak and potatoes and works hard.

I completely disagree and I am hopeful he will be one of the very few bright spots on the team this year.

Getting a (hopefully) healthy Odrick and Edds back is like having 2 more draft picks with nfl experience (game film, locker room pressence, working out, work ethic) coming into the fold this year. It's very good!

True, just heard Jason Cole on with Adam Kuperstein (filling in for Joe Rose who is on vacation) on 560. Jason said that this is the skilled position era, and that the Dolphins are a slow plodding old-fashioned team, that quite frankly he doesn't see any better than last years 7-9 at best. He said implementing a new offense, having Chad Henne and no competition for him, and then having the Pats & Jets in the division, and a rising Buffalo team, will make it hard to stay out of the cellar in the division this year.

Pretty much what I have been saying for months now.

Yeah, we need speed, Edmund Gates will HOPEFULLY work out, but what if he doesnt? Thats are only hope? Daniel Thomas isnt exactly what people were asking about, hes Ronnie Junior.

    So......like I said.....we'd have a real good team. in the 1980s..............

Unfortunately its on offense where we need the help the most. A lot of teams didn't score a lot on us last year, it was just that we couldn't score ourselves, and I don't see that changing with Daboll. Its going to be another completely frustrating year for us DolFans.

Well that is what you can expect from a Sparano team, all based on old-fashioned 1980's grind it out philosophy. Dull, boring and defenseble. Teams have schemes figured out to stop that kind of offense, that is why they were abandoned with the 1980's. However Sparano never got that memo. :confused2:

And it's not really particularly well founded in the slightest bit. You are taking what you enjoy watching and want to see and pretending it's somehow a superior way to do things.

Let's set aside this assessment of the team to begin with, which is problematic in its own right... But what does "Old Fashioned" mean? Were there somehow not fast players then? What exactly do you mean by a "grind it out" offense?

The Bills records the past 6 yrs:
    5-11
    7-9
    7-9
    7-9
    6-10
    4-12
How are they a team on the rise? Could be said if looking at the potential of some of their young talent. I find it interesting you can do that with the Bills but not Miami.

Don't you have to wait to see what happens in FA, if there is one, before you start bad-mouthing the teams ?? Any of them ?? Teams are only 2/3rds of the way complete... It's a bit early to be down on the team yet...even if they'd be a good team in the 80's, as is....

not when you havent won a superbowl in 38 years...........I know a good team or not when i see one. The "leadership" we have now has shown ME enough, They need to earn my "good thoughts" and opinions from now on.

Look forward to seeing a healthy Jared Odrick. I think he's going to be a fine player. I hope he adds a little pass rush off the end.

Run the ball, boring 3 yards and a cloud of dust, don't throw the ball unless you have too. That is the Sparano way, and unfortunately he wants to do this without a come-from behind QB, which is invariably where we end up by the 4th qtr of most games. Henne just doesn't seem to have that capability and the way they want to play games, so close to the vest, it puts Henne in the worst possible position as QB of this offense. Last year we threw more, A LOT MORE than Sparano would ever like to do. If he could clone Bob Griese and Larry Czonka and bring back the early 1970's Dolphins offense, Sparano would be in heaven. Griese threw about 12-15 times a game. Defenses have been devised to stop those kind of offenses but Sparano still is pig-headed and lives in the past.

Nearly all of the consistent playoff teams, NE, Indy, Pitt, etc, all have QB's that run wide open offenses that give them the opportunity for the quick strike score. That is non-existent on our team. We'll see what Daboll comes up with but since he leaned so heavily on the run game last year in Cleveland, I expect that is what we will see here this year. If they can't get the run game going, we will be sunk early in the season.
