Geez it seems like since I jumped on the Marlin bandwagon they haven't won a single game. Maybe it's time I get off now?

I am now convinced that, beginning June 1, South Florida has been the victim of the world's biggest Punk'd episode.

 

And now Edwin resigns.

 

Ownership will find the cheapest option to replace Edwin, and then force him to resign in a couple of years. They will say they have the talent to succed, but will never pay to get top teir talent.

 

Jack McKeon is being considered as interim manager.

Rumor is that Loria wants to take another run at Bobby Valentine.

 

What's next is the new Stadium going to collapse into a sinkhole?

 

I love the Marlins, but I can't understand why anyone would want to manage this team. We fire the manager of the year. Last year we fire Fredi (whose Braves are ahead of us). Yahoo reported that Samson was threatening hitters with demotions to the minor leagues if play didn't improve.

Our farm system lacks in pitching prospects (the true measure of a winning team) and our position players field out of position.

No big name manager is going to come here, absolutely. Loria's quick trigger finger is reason #1, and the prospect of breathing the same air as David Samson is reason #2.

So while it's nice that Loria got us a stadium and everything, if he'd just sell the damn team we could all move on with the prospect of playing drama-free baseball.

 

By the way, if you believe that Edwin resigned, I have swampland in southern Nevada to sell you. Cheap!

Season's over. And it's a shame our current roster is composed of most of our standout farm guys, because otherwise I'd say we should just call up our AAA players and get them some MLB experience.

 

I don't get this team... we look like we should be getting better and better each year. Newsflash: a new ballpark won't help us win any freakin games!!

made it out to the game on tuesday... they run a great promotion in the herald where you can buy 2 tickets for $28 in the lower level, bullpen box seats. i sat on the angels side and caught 2 foul balls and got to see a win, fun times!

also was great seeing fans heckling the one idiot wearing a Revis jersey and getting him ejected, lol

 

It's just depressing to watch their games now.

I really can't take this team anymore. It was supposed to be a sneak preview of a really good, contenting 2012 squad… but it's just falling apart now. I have never seen an entire team slump like this before. Well, one not named the Pittsburgh Pirates, anyway.

Maybe Jeff Loria will sell to Frank McCourt...
