http://www.annarbor.com/sports/um-f...michigan-football-miami-dolphins-nfl-lockout/ I really like this dynamic between the two, Long stands for everything we want to become, the man is the perfect football player, If he digs Henne and wants to follow him, i'am gonna have to respect that.. It really seems we have already established an edge on our opponent, I just heard yesterday of 2 teams finally getting a few players organized..shoot, Our boys have got some sh$# under control, you know their workin their *** off, and you also know that if Jake Long calls you, u comin...lol
Hopefully Henne can establish himself this year. I have been very critical of him and wanted us to draft some competition but if he can get the team behind him and learn a new offense he's got a shot at turning things around for himself. I'd like nothing better than to be proven wrong about Henne, I was a supporter of his when we drafted him and through about 2/3 of last year too so hopefully he turns things around.
I was defensive of Henne last year as most know, placing the blame on the coaching staff eh hem Dan Henning...but this year is going to be do or die for Chad Henne. He'll either flourish under a new offensive scheme and he'll be what all of us have hope he would be, or the coaching staff is going to have a find a new QB, either in the draft or free agency that can run Daboll's offense. Regardless, I don't think anyone would argue Jake Long's credentials, already a two time pro-bowler and if Jake Long endorses Henne's leadership, I think that says alot at the player level. Coaches coach, but when the players are in the huddle, they look at one man and it seems Long has confidence in that one man. Hope he's right!
Does anyone else think this team is really starting to look like a Parsells team (yes I know he is gone)? Power O + D line, No one flashy type (Marshall really not frashy since he arrived, occasionally problematic but not flashy), Strong willed but not unbelievably skilled QB, Strong punishing runner, General depth mith good but not great talent, True team feeling. After that article just jumps out at me.
Instead of it looking like a Parcells team, I hope we are looking like a Joe Gibbs team ie; "the hogs" What you mention in a power O-Line, I think of the hogs, pushing the line of scrimmage five yards back at the snap of the ball. A strong willed yet not very talented QB, I think of Theismann, nothing great but got the job done Strong punishing runner, I think of John Riggins, running people over like Csonka used to do. Are we starting to look like that? Maybe, but we'll see. Are we looking like a Parcells team? I certainly hope not! I just hope the lockout doesn't come into account trying to determine our team's quality this year.
You're a nut Pandarilla!! This is two nights in a row you've cracked me up over here. Thanks for the laughs! Definitely brighten my day over here in Afghanistan
HOOOOO dont make frun. Just becruase I have accent does not mean rou should rook for probrems wif my speak. My point stirr varid though, seems rike Parserrs rike team!!
3x Voted Pro Bowler (He dropped out this year, so he didn't actually go to the Pro Bowl...that's why they only say 2). Ray Lewis had the same conversation during the Pro Bowl when they shorted him a Pro Bowl because he pulled out a few years back.
