    Guys there have been a couple of warnings in this thread about staying on topic.

    Simple point, if the post is about the topic of football, make the post. If it is about who did what to whom, when, why, and whether it was a flamethrower or a disposable bic, it will be deleted and the thread closed! I just sat through a 9 hour meeting and I'm getting grumpy and you don't want to see that!

    Actually slants are a cover 2 breaker. You should be throwing slants vs cover 2 and we didnt at all. We really didnt throw many slants last year period and I actually question whether they are in Hennings playbook or not or if he just hates using them.

    All the more reason to Marshall in the slot..... NFL is about match ups
    Everything about the Henning game plan became tiresome.

    The slant would be Marshalls most effective play, the way he likes to shield defenders, and pluck the ball, it would be perfect.

    Yeah it would be a cover 2 breaker if he wasn't bracketed every single play.

    They dont have to be thrown to Marshall only. Hartline and Bess can catch.

    I'm not sure if it was Henning, or Henne tbh B14, if you look at where Henne has had success throwing the football, and where he has not, the middle area of the field is his lowest rated area, chicken or egg whether or not "Henning won't call them" or "Henne can't throw them" either way Henne drops into the mid 60's in Qbr in the middle of the field.

    Recall how pissed David Lee was at Thigpen and Marshall for breaking the play and throwing the ball inside the hashes down the field instead of the usual curls and outs and what have you? To me that was a really good insight into how Henning and Lee were doing things concerning play calling and routes.
