I like this guy for us, the way I see it Koa Misi maybe develops into a passrushing threat, maybe not, sign LaBoy and pencil him in for a Wake 2009 number of snaps with his hand on the ground and we have good insurance as well as boosting the passrush.

We looked at him in 2010 and passed, wonder if they liked what they saw but were committed to Misi?

Another interesting name with the connection to Bill Sheridan the Lb's coach.

that would be a great 3-man rotation, assuming he didn't cost an arm and a leg.

doesn't anyone know if any good ILB FAs are available this year. If our 3rd ILB on the rotation was Crowder (or Dobbins instead) and we upgraded the starter next to Dansby, our front 7 would be top 3 in NFL (IMO).

my perfect remainder preseason: C Palmer to compete with Henne, ILB free agent, Darren Sproles

Barrett Ruud, P Poz from the Bills will maybe be on the market.

I'd like to add that situational passrusher, unless they feel Odie will blow up, or Merling, or Starks returns to form, even then you need that heat coming off of the edge consistently.

5 sacks as a reserve doesn't sound bad at all. I assume we'd cut Ike? Also, can he play ST?

Kiwanuka, if healthy, is worth at least a work out.

Q is a free agent, Ike moving into the last yr of his deal.

As for ST, do not know.

Kiawunaka would be a solid pickup and he would have the chance to show he is 100% so even limited snaps would/should figure to appeal to him on a 1 yr deal.

I think Kiwanuka has real bad neck issues. I'd pass. Ruud, I like the player just not in our scheme. I don't see him fighting off blockers. He isn't the thumper we could use in the middle. Laboy I would be interested in. He would fill that veteran pass rusher role that we don't really have.

Yea, I think I remember hearing Kiwanuka almost retiring or being on the brink bc of those injuries.

I like Laboy at a decent price too.

Ruud I'm good with but I think Pozluszney is best with an even front in front of him.

Re: Laboy - IIRC he was a weak side rusher in SF.

    A ringing endorsement lol.

Kirk Morrison a free agent I think - I remember some noise about him when he was a Raider I think.

I think people need to keep in mind FA is still up in the air, and it is dependent on an agreement, or the NFL deciding to implement rules on a whim essentially.

Could be no rules to free agency, with no tags at one end of the spectrum, and at the other end we could be back to 2010 rules, where a player needs to have 6 years in the league to no longer be an RFA(Ruling out guys like Kiwanuka, Pozlunsky, etc).

Morrison is a pretty big liability in coverage. He'd still need to be replaced in Nickel packages, but I suppose that's what AJ Edds is for.

Yeah I was thinking more as a two down thumper. Its not like Crowder is an all pro pass defender right?

I actually don't mind Channing, but he could be upgraded by the right guy.

Another name I'd be interested in is Matt Roth, a FA, with Cleveland switching back to the 4-3 he will be on the market, his passrushing is meh, his run stopping is outstanding, he did have 5 sacks for the browns in 09.

    86 tackles and 4 sacks in 2010.

I'd be happy seeing Roth come back too, but you think he would? Pretty unhappy camper when he left I suppose.

I'd think he would want Starter money, FWIW I can see him landing on the patriots or maybe the Jets.

Yeah, it was sort of like Bobby Ewing reappearing and it was all a dream, he managed to stuff AP on the goaline, then was such a poor ST player they waived him.

Noticed Justin Babbin is a FA, he would be a solid nickel DE.

Horrible waste, he was not happy with his 40k salary, but he went a wee bit overboard trying to make a buck.

Thought he could have made the jump after this season ala Logan, those Fresno State players sometimes come from rough backgrounds and sadly it caught up to him.

I do blame him RB, he was not willing to pay his dues and took the shortcut and there he is looking at 12yrs in prison..at least.

Play out his BC contract, play his butt off ala Wake and Logan, then earn the big bucks, instead..pity really.
