I know, I was on my phone. It was hard enough going from my PMs to the thread and remembering the guy's name. I'm rectifying the lack of a write up right now.
i almost took him at 191 (Aldrick R) but have 6 wrs already. great pick at that spot. i went for needed depth or i would have. harper was my late rd too good to pass up pick
Yeah I hear ya, I just needed a reserve DT as Hampton and Owens tend to get dinged and Tayor is a guy that w/o injury concerns would have been alot higher rated. IMO Harper is a rb at 191 I couldnt pass on even more than Robinson, he can catch the wheel route Pitt likes to run, can get tough yards and has deceptive speed. I have seen Harper rated as high as 108 so at 191 he was a good value pick, above Robinson for me based on Pitt scheme. Pitt will not bend off being a physical pound the ball team, so we are not runiing 4 and 5 wide so 7 wr was just not a luxury I could afford tho I would have liked to. Had he been a more physical guy and not rated a ginn type guy he would be a 3rd rder like Sanders but his speed and hands will provide Rivers a big threat target.
I'm going to pick before I go to bed tonight, so if the 2 folks, well, Skeet since Boik isn't picking wants to pick before me, that's fine. I'll happily take Mr. Irrelevant though.
Raiders GM has opted not to select anyone. Giants GM has basically forfeited his remaining picks being he won't sign any of them... so the Saints are OTC currently. I am going to allow people to make any skipped selections until Sunday at 7PM ET. I will be making a thread where you can announce which draft picks you will be signing to your roster. From there you will all have a week (April 24th) to set your final rosters (make any last trades, fill your roster to the min 47/max 53, etc). The final roster submission will be from April 24th until May 1st. You will pretty much throw your 53 man roster on a thread I will create. You can dress up your roster as much as you'd like (roster, depth chart, write-ups, etc.). May 1st-3rd I will be taking nominations for Best of Categories. Each GM gets one nominations per category and they may not nominate themselves. May 3rd-8th will be the final voting period. I will announce the winner(s) the 9th of May. I will also likely be doing a Madden simulation during the season (will, I'll start it late August/early September) so that'll be a "just for fun" type thing. Just so you guys know what's going on...
And there goes Gantt, probably my last potential UDFA target. Guess the Browns have a complete roster by default now.
So now that the last pick has been made we can bid on UDFAs right? The guys who were skipped are SOL correct?
Alen, before the 2nd round starts, and you call me out on it, I think before this 2nd round is over your Davone House pick will not appear to be a reach and our Tandon Doss pick will be.
Daniel Thomas - GML 105 Actual 62 +43 Bonus points for drafting another player Miami picked (Misi last year)
Austin Pettis - Actual 78, GML 165, +87. Christian Ponder - Actual 12, GML 28, +16. Von Miller - Actual 2, GML 6, +4. +107 so far. MC Hammer can’t touch this.
Do I get bonus points for the Titans selecting my guy? Jurrell Casey, DT, USC - ACTUAL 77, GM 90, +13 (Plus 100 for it being my team) 3 of my 4 years doing this Ive selected at least one guy my team took in the actual draft. 08 Browns, Ahtyba Rubin, NT 09 Packers, Quinn Johnson, FB 11 Titans, Jurrell Casey, DT
Stupidity? For once, Rick Spielman did the right thing when it comes to the QB position. Ironically, a Spielman decision winds up hurting our QB spot. Again.
LOL, I got lotsa minuses....good thing its irrelevant to reality and Im smarter than NFL scouts and GMs.
JJ Watt 11th pick I got at 19... Phil Taylor I took at 49, real draft 21. Remaining picks... jury still out. doh
I was off by 19 on LeShoure, taking him at 38 when he went at 57. My big wins have been Jarrett and Thomas. But both Acho and Stocker are dropping, and I don't have good feelings for O'Dowd. Moore I think goes in Round 4.
LOL. The vikings said they did their homework on the top 7 QBs in the draft, and vowed not to reach for one. Then they reach for Ponder at #12. If Ponder is successful I'll eat a rotten bag of garbage.
