I don't want Dalton. He is a red head. That can't end well.

Mallet is a crack smoking ball breaking interception machine. Pass.

    Kapernisafhasfhahflk...sigh...yawn.

I am willing to continue to make my stand. ALL OF THESE QB's SUCK.

Let the Bengals take Dalton (who they apparently tried to get at the end of the first round) and trade for Palmer.

You know for a while all we've been hearing is how we'll pick RBs in rounds three through four would it surprise anyone at all if instead Miami goes in the direction of receiving TE, speed WR, and perhaps another offensive linemen leaving free agency to pickup RBs like Kevin Smith, Leon Washington, and maybe one other guy from the late draft like a Da'rel Scott. They really don't pay anything for the position. They might skip paying for it again. Worst comes to worst it'll be Ronnie plus someone other than Ricky for the year.

hard for me to believe this staff trades up into round 2. It goes against everything they have said or done so far.

As far as Mallet goes if Cinncy takes a QB, Buffalo passes on a QB again, and Washington goes without Mallet (very high likelihood of that) who is there in the middle of that second round or for that matter the third that stops his slide?

Does San Francisco take him in round two or Washington for that matter? If neither of those two teams do take him, he could be in for a slide to us in the third round.

If QB is a smokescreen, than I would think Martez wilson might be on the radar as well.

The alternative is to suck for Luck. And I have news for you, Tony Sparano isn't going to do that, because he doesn't want to be fired.

You can throw high heels and lipstick on him, but whomever QB he is, he's still a 2nd rounder.

All this accomplishes is it wastes 2 picks on a guy who's going to backup Henne for at least a year.

The time to trade up a future "high pick" is when you're moving up your current first round pick to acquire a legit franchise prospect, not for someone the entire league passed on during day one. That's INSANITY!!

Example: Moving up from #15 to #4 is the time to double down.

IMO if we're trading up, it's for one of the backs we're targeting who might fall to late round 2/early round 3......... or it's to move up our 4th for one of the TEs in the late 3rd/early 4th.

You are making too much sense and explaining away all the dreams of reaching for a QB.
The "we desperately need a QB contingent" won't understand your logic.
They will do whatever possible to get whoever. It is out of hand.

If Jake Locker was really their first QB, then it's time to take a look at another QB with a high YPA, mobility, toughness, and leadership ability. Tyrod Taylor will be a Dolphin. Perhaps even in round three if you look at it that way. Still don't understand how he doesn't get more press with the stats he put up and the YPA.

Taylor isn't going to amount in a single thing at QB in the NFL imo. Pray to god we don't take him.

I'm curious how you guys think that when a guy like Tebow and a guy like Vick did really well last year in the NFL and Taylor is arguably a better passer than the both of them coming into the NFL. Really curious. This accuracy stuff is a bit mind-blowing, we keep propping up quarterbacks that have completion percentages jacked up by short passes and criticizing the ones that throw it down the field.

That's just not true. Look at the offensive and defensive rankings of the Super Bowl winners over the last 10 years. The only exceptions are when the Colts and Saints won the Super Bowl. However, most of the "best" offenses over the last 10 years have not won the Super Bowl.

We would have had a great chance to do that if we hadn't botched the trade for Brandon Marshall.

Just did fall past Wash in 2nd, But there is still Buff Wash and AZ before us in the 3rd. I would feel a lot better if we could package a DE (Langford) with our 3rd and move up for Mallett trading with a non competitor. Hopefully an NFC team so we dont face Kendall!

So people are worried that Mallett does drugs and doesn't have passion for football? Is that why he's falling? If he falls to us, I say **** it and pick him. Take the chance. It's possible a QB with his potential talent hasn't fallen so far.

If Mallet falls to the 3rd we better take him. Only way we trade into the 2nd is for Reed or LeShoure imo and I'm not the biggest fan of that. Reed would be awesome but at what cost?

I did not like a single quarterback in this draft. The most flawed crop in years.

I tried to warm up to a few and the MORE I saw, the less I liked them.

Perhaps you are not aware, but teams can not trade players during this draft because there is no CBA at this time. All the teams can trade are draft picks. So including Langford or any other Dolphin in a trade isn't happening.

    You can't trade players.

But I would trade a lot of Dolphions before I got rid of Langford, the guy is a rock. Hell, I'd ship Odrick before him.

You clearly haven't heard everything. There have been questions about his athleticism (he doesn't have feet like Marino), drug use that was confirmed (cocaine reportedly), leadership questions, despised by his team mates and work ethic questions. You can decide whether or not to believe what you want, but it's clear that the NFL teams heard enough that 6 QBs (so far) have gone before him.

I dont think anyone has heard EVERYTHING, but I have heard a fair amount and many have really had nothing but good things to say. If he was hated why has he a captain? Dunno. Anyway i thought the CBA was only an issue for FA but if it extends to player on roster for trades then oh well. In any case to clarify I wouldnt trade Langford either, I was thinking of Merling.
