EXACTLY!!! That is sooo f***ing disturbing it's not even funny.

It doesn't shock me one bit that virtually every QB he's gotten a hold of, he's run into the ground. This guy is the reason our franchise has taken a dump. He used a gimmick formation to mask his ineptitude as an OC in 2008, which has consequently set our team back a few years.

Seriously, our offense has yet to take a true step forward in areas that it SHOULD HAVE been concentrating on improving.

Then he subs in his dead as disco wildcat when our QB is hot even though the freakin thing is producing 1.7 yards per play.
He subs it in while in the redzone, only to get FGs or throw INTs with Ricky, even though Henne was virtually identical to Brees per snap inside the 20.
The idiot subs it in during 3rd downs when we should be passing with Henne and his 117 QB rating (in 3rd and 3-7 yards).

And Sparano has the gall to defend this waste of a coach?!

There's no freaking way that Sparano deserves a 1st round QB until he and Daboll can prove they've earned one.

I can't see either way b/c I don't know just how bad it was, but it's entirely possible (coming from someone who has spent time as a pitcher and QB). Carson Palmer had a lot of problems with passes sailing etc when his knee was bad and/or recovering.

Um what. The interior O-line was horrendous, PFF doesn't mean crap.

They were TERRIBLE. Go back and watch the film if you don't believe me.

for the first half of the year, yes, that's partially true.... which is also when Henne was throwing much better.

The 2nd half of the year, we averaged what would amount to 52 sacks in a 16 games season, which is horrendous. Not forgetting, that during much of the year we used max protect, and there were NUMEROUS times were Henne had only 2 or 3 receivers going out on passes during 3rd down (that's including backs & TEs).

Detroit game--- protection in the 1st half with a good run blocking and Henne tore the Lions up. 2nd half--- injuries shifting the line leading to poor ground game and no protection..... and Henne's game "appears" worse.

Eh, hate the excuse machine though Bro, Henne has to play better and really should face stiff competiton for the Qb job this preseason imho.

Padre, you're the one who asked about the knee. lol. I merely answered it. how is that an excuse machine? I actually said that I cant say either way if it affected him, so how is that, too, and excuse? Listing Carson Palmer isn't an excuse. It's an example. He's a one-time, elite QB who turned to crap after injuries etc, (with his knee being one of them).

Just saying, if one looks at even Palmer's "down" 2011 it is still much better than Henne's seasons as the starter.

Henne has not been good enough to have a "down" yr.

Have to agree with RH DD, the center of the line was consistently being pushed back into Henne's lap which is why I'd hoped Richie I started at center for the last 4 games or so as Joe Berger was just not very good regardless what PFF said.

Pat McQuistan was also not very good, he was passable but made tons of mistakes.

it seemed like McQueefstain had numerous penalties in critical moments that cost us.

I still think they were heads and shoulders above the previous year and most of the pressure was due to Polite, and Murtha.

I do not think they were nearly as bad as the fans like to point them out to be. The stats do not really back them up either. Injuries really did effect the line, however other then the horrible Bears game, I thought the pass blocking was pretty decent by the interior line.

Which is a part of the reason why I liked Rey Feinga at least he was a tough guy if nothing else and all things being equal a mauler can always make a difference on the Oline but Ray and Richie would have been glacial to say the least.
