    From IGN:

Don’t expect the 360 to get any of this. Xbox Live servers are basically their own closed environment. Microsoft isn’t going to bridge them with Steam any time soon.

Also, if anyone is wondering what cloud-based saving means, you can create a Portal 2 save on the PS3, then load it up on your Mac or PC and continue from that save, or vice-versa.

I just don't get the love for portal. Not sure why, I love everything Valve has created except Portal. Now if they were talking about taking TF2 cross-platform, thats a whole nother story. Would be time to own the console boys with my mouse+kb.

People who bought the Dreamcast version of Quake 3 got demolished by the PC players, since they could both play on the same servers. The industry basically learned its lesson and segregated controller users from keyboard users.

As for Portal, people love the writing. The puzzles were secondary, just a way to get GLaDOS to say something funny. Then you beat the game, and GLaDOS starts singing Still Alive. Cult status cemented right there.

I like this idea. PSN struggles to get enough online players for games I play anyway. Also yes I know this is just with Valve/Steam and no other games, I am just saying I like that it's opening up more users. :D

Time to go blow the dust of the Dreamcast and play a little Crazy Taxi and JSR.

The Portal 2 ARG, along with this countdown, hint that Portal 2 will be released today at noon eastern. Or, alternatively some ARG-based objective will need to be met before Portal 2 can be unlocked early.

So the countdown is basically a tie-in to the ARG. If enough people buy and play the games in the Portal potato pack, then Portal 2 unlocks early.

    Ripoff.

Beat the game. Took about 9 hours in total. Took my time, searched for secrets, and got tripped up in a couple of areas. (This is definitely a harder game overall than Portal 1. Not impossible, not even particularly difficult, just tougher overall.)

5/5. This is a must-play game even if you think I have completely ****ty taste in video games, and I know most of you think I do.

I like the DQ's I've played. I have the first 3 AA games, but haven't played them yet.

Then you’re not in the most group.

By the way, anyone who’s going to play Portal 2: do it at night in a dark room. You’ll thank yourself.

Can you split screen co-op on the console?

I don’t see why not, it’s the only way to have local co-op.

Portal 2 is easily the best game I've played since Starcraft 2. It is amazing, everything I thought it would be and more. If you even sorta liked Portal, you're going to love Portal 2.

I'm about 6 hours in, just starting chapter 7. After I finish the single-player, I can't wait to see what co-op has in store.

I have Portal 2 as the Game of the Year so far. All bets are off if there’s an Assassin’s Creed 3 this year, though.

Bump. If for some bizarre reason you haven’t played Portal 2 yet, the PC version is on sale at Amazon and Gamestop for $30.

Okay. It's been long enough. The statute of limitations on spoilers has run out. Greatest ending ever? You decide.
