    15 DOLPHINS

    WILL PICK

    Andy Dalton, QB, TCU

    SHOULD PICK

    Andy Dalton, QB, TCU

Of the 19 teams that worked out Dalton individually or hosted him for a visit, none was as exhaustive as the Dolphins, and I hear they liked what they saw. I could see them trading down—they're desperate to recoup the second-round pick they lost in the Brandon Marshall deal—and taking either Dalton or Arkansas QB Ryan Mallett later. With solid running backs available in the middle rounds, Miami won't go for Alabama's Mark Ingram here.

Based on what I've read and heard about Dalton's inability to break down progressions and reads on the whiteboard, I'd have a hard time coming to terms with him being the first round (or any round really) selection for the Dolphins. I'm hoping this is more smoke.

I really liked Dalton in college. Kid was a winner. But I liked him more as a 3rd round pick. Did not hear that he had a problem on the white board. Any links?

Problems on the white board? The Gruden show? Give me a break. That is the reason you dislike the kid? Because of Gruden's white board?

Andy Dalton… run, don’t walk, away from that. Don’t know how King says Dalton should be picked by 4 different teams in the top 15 when he still has Mallett and Ponder available.
