ORANGE JERSEYS Week 1!!! Had to do it....

Anyway, I like it. The first two weeks are huge. Two home games, one in primetime. We sucked at home and in primetime (except the 1st one against the Jets, great game) last season, got swept by the Patriots and the Texans are the only franchise the Dolphins have never beaten. The Dolphins have never had such an opportunity to make a big statement so early on. Of course the 2011 version can also be the same old 2010 Dolphins and lose both.

Excited for Thanksgiving, Dolphins have the best average wins on Thanksgiving, don't **** it up this year.

I like the schedule, personally. It has its ups and downs. If we make it to the playoffs then we know were doing good. But the stupid nfl network is pissing me off. They spend 5 minutes a piece breaking down the jets and pats and then just say F you to the dolphins/bills fans and direct them to look up their schedule online, d-bags.

Oh yeah, this should be a real morale booster.

Let's hope the Deffense-before-offense theory of progress holds true...

    ...and even then...

Really blows that it's a night game again too. Feels like a cop-out for Bawstin.

Wow, not liking that too much. If I can get back into football again, which im sure if this lockout ends, I will be, but to have to sit through opening sunday without a phins game is going to be tough

Not liking the two divisional games on the road, in the cold, crappy weather probably.

Definately not liking our division rivals coming to us... at night, when its cool. Nothing like giving away what little home field advantage we have. Thanks Ross.... :pity:

Don't be mad at him I'd be overly excited about primetime too, the Jets aren't used to having as many prime time games as they've had the past two seasons, since before that it was a rare occasion. Dolphins have played on MNF more than any other franchise, including the Cowboys & Steelers, so I don't really care about having only two, actually Three primetime games, since I count all Thanksgiving games as primetime since everyone watches and it's a nationally televised game.

Not mad here. I just feel a Jets fan visiting here should be paid back in ten fold every time he makes a comment that is negative.

If you think its cool at night in September in South Fla, I have swamp land to sell you.

Yes it won't be as hot as a 1pm game but trust me, it will still be uncomfortable for the players.

Egads. I think the schedule maker was on crack this year. I suppose they took time off due ot the lockout as well.

Oh well, gotta play with the cards that are dealt. Here is hoping we actually get to see our team play this schedule this year.

    2008 - away game
    2009 - Monday night game
    2010 - Bye week
    2011 - Bye week

its just not meant to be to come down for a 3 day weekend so neither of us has to miss a day of work...

Well, four 'national' games I guess.

Two Mondays, Thanksgiving and a Saturday.

Pats and Houston who we can never beat? 0-2 to start a very real possibility. The Fist Pumper might not survive the season if he gets off to that kind of start.

You know, the heat, its hot in Florida. We sweat less than them, thus making us better...or not.

Exactly. We practice in a bubble now, I don't understand how it's an advantage anymore anyways. It's not like we are playing people from Alaska. Most players on nfl teams played high school and college ball in south florida, georgia, texas, california anyways.....so the heat is not some magical disadvantage they have never witnessed before!

If we dont make blocks, make tackles, catch passes, pass protect, run the football, and score more points than the other team....it doesnt matter.

I agree. Improve both the level of talent on the field and the coaching, and you'll win more games.

Saturday isn't a national game, I believe. I think several teams are playing at 1 on the 24th.

My first thought when I read this was "no, they usually only schedule 2-3 games on Saturday's late in the season." So, if it's a Saturday game, it's a given it'll be nationally televised. But, noooo. I just checked, and while they have a full slate of games on Saturday, there's only one game on Sunday. Sunday night at that. WTF?! Just because it's Christmas Day? Man, that's all the more reason why there should be a full day of football games. Feel like I just got a stocking full of coal, and it's only April! Thanks NFL schedule makers!

Well I know that I and I also suspect many of the players would like to spend their Christmas Day with their families. That is a special day, especially those players with small children. So stop being selfish, and remember that the players are human beings too, not just play toys for your amusement. :tantrum:
