Sounds like JT is thinknig alot about JT Just because your a Franchise playerdoesnt mean you should be gone when the team is working. espcially when you are making 8 million a year and supposedly the face of your team. I like JT, and think he's a good guy and all, but given our "state of the franchise" I think doing "dancing with the stars" this year might have been a mistake. I guess thats selfish as a Dolfan, but its how I feel. I'd like to see us trade him for a top WR.
eh. we don't know what was said behind those closed doors, or why exactly he was mad. i really don't like speculating about things like this. JT is a class guy, and doesn't get very angry very often... I'll give him the benefit of the doubt here. and as far as dancing with the stars, it is just a different offseason conditioning program... plus its acquiring more fans. i don't see the problem.
Personally, I don't care how he feels. Yes, he is a great player and tries hard every play. But we play him well and he should be a profesional (football player, not dancer). He really needs to just keep his mouth shut and play ball. I am getting tired of JT for many things. How many pay cuts did Zach Thomas take? A lot. How about JT? Can't remember any can you? I am tired of him getting dinged up every other play. I love Taylor and even have his jersey, but he is beginning to smell like fish. I hope we trade him...
Taylor knew this team was going thru changes, and should have taken care of football business rather than dancing in Hollywood.there will be plenty of time for that when he retires.as for the respect thing, he needs to get over it.it's business nothing more.every employer wants all they can get from each employee, and thus far,Taylor has not done squat while others have been working.
Well I thought we would atleast trade him for a 3rd this year and like a 5th next year. That way we could get are rush LB.
Taylors value is gonna go up as the season progresses, and players get injured, while teams are trying to make the playoffs.thats when someone will meet bills asking price.
Someone needs to let JT know that we're going through the umpteenth coaching change and he's going on 34. No more butt kissing, you gotta be a mentor to the young guns and go through the offseason workouts, or you're gonna hear about it. So they didn't talk to him very much. They acted like coaches, or SOBs. What's the problem?
Lets see, two weeks before the draft, the biggest draft in Parcells & Sparano's career, and he is upset they didn't drop everything and talk to him when he is out on a reality TV show??? Oh brother!
So JT said this? When? That's what I thought, pure speculation. But by all means let's go ahead and pretend that this is all the gospel and that JT is alocker room cancer that needs to go. I'm really getting sick of these threads.
It is not disrespectful for someone to ask to speak with their leadership. That's a ridiculous notion.
Depends on what they were doing at the time. I've had alot of employees that wanted to talk to me when I was busy doing something that could not be interupted. Thats why theres a chain of command! If the reports are true that he got upset because they wouldn't talk to him, maybe its because it was an inopportune time, with the draft and all. So as I said, if he feels they disrespected him, he needs to get over it. Any other thought is just ridiculous!! This is a business, and needs to be treated as such.
I really don't like these threads that keep saying JT is getting angry or demanding a trade while when he is interviewed he says nothing but he wants to be a Miami Dolphin and try his best to win AS a Miami Dolphin.
Jason Taylor is used to being catered to and it doesn't seem that this new regime caters much to players. We all watched how Parcells treated Owens. If this is true Jason is acting like a spoiled selfish brat that wants his cake and eat it too. You cant turn your back on the team and go on Dancing with the Stars while the rest of your team is working out and focusing on the coming year. Jason is getting ready to step into his future which does not have the Dolphins in it. He wants to be on camera and from here on out that is what he will be focusing on. Just my opinion of course... BTW we they sure made a point by drafting not one but two Defensive Ends in this draft.
What does he really expect? Everyone to drop everything for him. While everyone is working their tails off trying to recover from a 1 and 15 season, he's out dancing and having a riot. Sorry son, Can't defend you here.
I know this much... I prefer for my team (Dolphins) to be ran by the FO and coaches...not any of the players. I'm not saying thats what is going on here, but it does appear to be the coaches and FO setting ground rules and expectations. I promise you the coaches will not put up with missed workouts and such down the road.
Our previous FO and coaches were so weak that the fan base came to depend on optimism from JT. For what it's worth, he delivered. With the exception of a few slips of frustration over the years, he towed the line, a line thrown at him which should not have been. I will always like and respect JT. Yes, it is time to move on, but he was not only a clutch, heart player, but a voice for the organization as well. Total class, and I am sure he was aware of his being a PR pawn, yet even when the team was in dire straights, he always showed up. I look forward to the new regime taking on the additional mouthpiece responsibility.
jason has shown plenty of disrespect like the comment about trading all the players but him on the dolphins for tom brady
I agree. Wanting to talk to your boss isn't the disrespectful part. The part that's disrespectful is getting your panties in a bunch because your boss doesn't have time to talk to you at the present moment, because, while you are off in Hollywood dancing and having a good time, everybody else is working, doing their part to make a competitive football team. He makes millions of dollars a year, and he's crying 'cause the boss can't talk to him right now? PLEEEASE................
JT needs to just shut the f up and get into camp, he's getting paid $9 million dollars for heavens sake! For that kind of money I would do ANYTHING someone asked of me!
No. If this is true, which as much as it may validate some already established beliefs there was no direct quote, and if he did ***** because they wouldn't talk to him it would be ballsy, yes, make him arrogant and a primadonna, yes as well, but disrespectful naw.
http://www.miamiherald.com/616/story/479554.html If you believe this most recent story, then you believe Sparano was lying before. Take your pick. One is speculation, one is from the horse's mouth (horse may have an ulterior motive, I must admit). Just the fact it's Armando Salguero makes me want to ignore this.
except Jason hasn't said ANYTHING. he has not said one bad word about the organization publically and when asked in interviews all he says is about how he wants to stay with the Dolphins.
