I agree, Bron is a great player but he needs to differ in those situations.

LeBron is just NOT a finisher. He can't make a game winning shot to save his life. I get so happy when they lose it's not even funny and hearing them cry makes my week.

By the way, good win KNICKS!

Well, after the Heats recent struggles it seems inevitable and ironic I might say that the 1st RD matchup in the NBA playoffs will be the Heat vs. Knicks......I perfered Chicago.

Now the only issues are with defense but at least dirtbag Isiah is gone. The Godfather, Donnie has to be given his extension and we have Warkentian lined up to be working with Allan Houston if something should happen with Walsh's health. Finally teh front office is in great hands and we have some talent. Now we just need that final piece or two to finish the job. But for now Im happy just having a good start and having the main pieces in place.

I still think Douglas ends up being the starting PG long term. That young man can play.

So as of right now the Knicks are a #6 seed......what is the best sceanrio?

1.) We are 2 1/2 games out of the 5 seed with Atlanta reeling losing 4 straight, IF we do get to the #5 we win a trip to Orlando but also means if we advanced we would get a Chicago team we matchup well with.

2.) If we were to drop to the #7 seed we would likely get the desired 1st RD matchup with Chicago, but then likely have to go through Boston and Miami/Orlando.

3.) We stay put and have a 1st RD matchup with the Heat who are struggling but could come together in the playoffs then IF we made it out of that goto Boston likely.

I like option #1 even though that presents the most difficult matchup initially.....

Ill take my chances with option 2. It leaves more time for Boston and Orlando to get eliminated. If we go that route we likely would face Chicago in round 1 who we can beat and Miami in round 2 who I dont think we would beat but at least isnt a terrible matchup for us like Boston or Orlando. Orlando we just matchup terribly with.

You matchup favorably with Boston now.

Oddly enough, your best matchups are in Order: Chicago,Boston, Miami. Your worst are Orlando and Atlanta. yeah, weird..I know.

Your team is not getting smashed anymore by anybody in the playoffs. Before I thought the Heat would sweep the Knicks. Now I think they win in 5 if they get bounces or in 6 straight up.

We will find out how well we match up with Boston when we play them the last week of the regular season. They are exactly the type of team I can see us struggling with as they make all their rotations and defend the paint well.

I think we match up fine with Atlanta, we beat them a few days ago and are 2-2 vs them. Plus amare has shown he can dominate horford when there is no help. Last time out he held horford to 4 points and like 7 rebounds. Douglas and billiups can destroy anything Atlanta can use at PG as Douglas did last time out. Atlanta doesn't scare me one drop...I'd be disappointed if it took more then 5 to beat them.

I think Miami would beat NY in 6. Ny's lack of an intimidating defender who could control the glass and block some shots will be their downfall in that type series. Melo and billiups would really need to be insanely great to win that series imo.

Best matchups for nyk are Atlanta, Chicago, Miami. Worst are Boston and Orlando.

Jared Jeffries started 6 games after being signed. D'Antoni had a press conference to say that Shawne Williams would start. Started Jeffries that night. Now demoted him tonight. Started Shawne Williams. Says that it might not be permanent and Jeffries might start the next game. The Latest is that Shelden Williams might get a look.

So D'Antoni is doing a press conference to announce a different PF for each day and then doing them all over again in sequence.

He is using his PF's like they are pitchers in a pitching rotation.

    What a finish!

It was as if both teams decided to not defend each other for the last 2 minutes.

I know what he was trying to do; he was trying to go small which in itself is not a bad idea. The problem is that Shawne Williams is an oversized 2 not a 3 or 4. Everytime he tries to defend the post he gets lit up. Tonight he was the primary defender on Tyler Hansborough for the second straight game and for the second straight game Hansborough has a career high.

Bill Walker isnt bad btw. Not a great defender but his range is pretty much unlimited inside of half court. Hes hit some ridiculously long 3's.

The other problem with the Knicks is their personnel...they have no true 5 and only 2 true 4's (amare and turiaf). Jeffries can try but he is really a 3. They are very height deficient. That has to be addressed in the offseason or teams with height like Indiana are just going to continuously kill the knicks on the glass

Oh, and fire D'antoni. Cannot. Stand. Him. Take the hillbilly accent and leave. Bring back JVG. Get Doc Rivers in a year after Austin is 1 and done at Duke. I dont care how they do it. Just get rid of him.

That guy is not human. He kills the Heat too. To think everybody was saying that he couldn't play in the NBA. He is becoming one of the best rotation bigs in the NBA. Now he is starting and he is scoring.

Everyone here in Colorado is laughing at the Knicks and Carmelo Anthony. Remember how Eric Broussard and the other ESPN NBA experts were saying how great a deal this was for NY? All the Nuggets have done since Carmelo left is win....they are now a really good TEAM. Everyone is now finding out that Carmelo is just an overrated ballhog who does nothing for the Knicks. I am sure Isiah Thomas conned Dolan into doing this deal. Another brilliant move by the worst former GM ever, not named Matt Millen.

Will they fix it in time for a playoff upset?? No one knows.

As long as D'Antoni is your head coach, and you're giving up over 105 points a game, allowing over 37% from the 3 point line, that answer is a very, very, very easy no.

this team could pull an upset or two much like the 99 finals team that lost to San Antonio. That team also had chemistry issues all year and didn't get on the same page until the playoffs. That team did it with defense and a very good coach; this team will have to improve greatly and in a hurry on defense while embracing the dantoni offense. Billups has to be quicker making decisions and moving the ball. Right now he should be in danger of losing his starting gig to douglas who is playing just as well offensively and better on defense. Turiaf has to stay healthy and suddenly transform in to more then just a shot blocker, he has to become a better rebounder for this team to have any chance. These guys have a lot to iron out before the playoffs but the ability to make a move is there based on melo and stat having huge playoff series and the supporting cast doing their jobs.

Decision day comes soon on walshs option year and billups option year. Walsh should be a no brainer. Billups I think I would pick up because it's a tradeable asset that could net you something of value.

Remember when I said for week over the summer Gallinari had star potential? Stats just dont tell the story of how good he could be. I love melo and I think eventually be will embrace the team concept on a more regular basis as be did last game but for a few games he did play like a ballhog.

Also isiah had nothing to do with the move.
