Can't agree with this at all. Let's say you already have a great LOT on your roster and there's no RDE or QB worthy of the #1 overall you are much better off drafting best player at a position of need where there is talent worthy of the #1 overall.

This is the Miami Dolphins we're talking about. We have a great ROT that we're playing at LOT. We desperately need a DE to pair up with Taylor and Beck has had one of the roughest starts ever to a pro career that I have ever seen. The three most important positions in football are all positions Miami needs to fill and as I have stated IMO Ryan, Clady and C. Long are all worthy of first overall selection

A great back can make an ordinary o-line look pretty special. Jimmy Johnson always said that Emmit Smith made the Dallas o-line look great. I love how Ronnie looked before his injury but its a severe recovery and runningback is a position where carries can be shared. 2 great backs are OK with me. Unless someone jumps up the boards in some crazy way after the Bowl Games I'm on the McFadden train. After that, go defense and on the second day find some more offensive help.

Don't know about anybody else, but I sure was pulling for San Francisco last night. Their win pushed New England back to 5th in the draft order now. We need all the breating room we can get between us and them. :ffic:

Doesn't matter. IMO, the pats will have no desire to use a top ten pick, especially one in the top five.

It better not be Long. You don't draft a RT #1 overall.

Wait...do you mean Jake Long or Chris Long.

Chris Long is a great pick, IMO.
