Just for fun here...what is the likelihood that this would happen...

DEFINITELY "Do Not Want". He is a shell of his former self now.

I like him, but for him, it'd be a question of financials.

Does he think he still deserves $6 million?

    If not then, sure.

He's not a jerk, he just likes to have fun. I'm fine with that.

If he changes his name back to Chad Johnson then I'm all for it.

I've found it very interesting that ever since they took away his TD celebrations that he hasn't been the same player. I really think the NFL screwed up this guy by just taking the fun out of the game for him. Hopefully he can find that back. I really liked watching Chad and seeing what he was going to do next. I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do here in Miami opposite Marshall. You ask me thats a pretty killer 1-2 punch.

What's the downside, really? It's all about the money. We bring him in for a year, nothing guaranteed, and what have we got to lose? Can always cut him.

Trade for Steve Smith in Carolina. He is on the block. If there is anyone that Brandon would respect it would be Steve. I truly believe he could get into his head and keep him focused at winning games for the Dolphins and not causing stupid penalties. I think Steve could really keep him focused, and would be a good mentor for our young receivers.

Yes, let's sign him, MSW, and hopefully Plaxico Burress. Then we'll be able to compete with the Titans for the title of most mentally ******ed players on one offense.

First hand report is that it is still healing but getting closer bro. He has a strong will to win that could only rub off on Brandon and the younger receivers.

Yea I like that move a lot if we can make it.

    I can't imagine it'd take too much more than a 3 or 4.

Agreed and it would pay itself off by 10 fold. That move alone would have teams taking us more seriously. If we are going to open the offense up we will need another play maker.

Steve is like a GM in his mind set. He knows who will play for it all, and who is just collecting checks. He is very well versed with his fellow NFL players.

I think a fifth round pick (and maybe a 6 or 7) would probably get that deal done. The Panthers are obviously going to try to move forward now with a new HC, and Steve Smith is obviously not in their future plans. If Randy Moss can be had for a fourth round pick, Steve Smith can be had for a fifth.

rather have Sindney Rice, be a way better compliment to Marshall. Chad is to much of a diva, hell I'd take T.O. before Johnson

Yes you do bro, but I think Henne needs all the extra help around he can. Steve likes the QB's to air it out, and I think he could help in Chad's confidence by reassuring him that him and Brandon will go up for and do what ever it takes to bring that ball in.

I think this could be a make or break year for Henne.

I do not think we will ever win the division, much less a Super Bowl with Chad Henne as our QB. I wanted that more than anything else when we drafted him. But, sadly I think he is horrible. I wish I was wrong. It seems every time we need for Henne to win the game for us he fails. The last game I remember Henne winning for us was with Ted Ginn Jr beating all of the coverage and running down that bomb against the jests.

Steve Smith doesn't make since unless Sparano and Co. are going to let Henne be an agressive QB. What sticks out to me about last year a lot with Henne, the first plays on offense of the first 3 or 4 games. They actually let Henne take a shot down the field no matter the coverage or anything, just put the ball up. I think we had about 50% positive plays from those and a couple really close big plays. I remember one PI call that got us like 40 or so and another catch that got us some big yards. I really just wonder if they gave Henne that free reign all the time would that make a difference.

I'm really interested to see how he does in this new offense this year. Its going to be make or break for him. IMO I believe he has been hurt by the system that we were playing. Hopefully that changes and we get some better routes called for the WR's and better all around play.

Chad Johnson or Steve Smith, we need some more talent on that unit and we need much better play calling on that unit. We need to take the training wheels of Henne, throw him in the fire and see what he has. At this point he is either all or none anyway so lets go for it.

IMO any of the 30+ year old previous #1 WRs who are on the trailing end of their career would be perfect here opposite Marshall for a season or two. These guys might not be able to hack it anymore as the feature WR seeing heavier coverage, but in our offense with Brandon taking most of it, I'm sure they can prove to be a big asset against single coverage as a #2. I'd take Steve Smith, Ocho, or Santana Moss for a year or two.

I'm all for it. Chad's a hometown guy. Just gives Henne more weapons, and a legit reason to keep Bess in the SLOT where he THRIVES. He's half the weapon he really is when you split him out wide, IMO.

If hes available I would sign Steve smith yesterday, been wishing for that one since last year...Would of signed bob sanders this year..

Would of been 2 very nice additions to our ballclub that I would of gambled on....

One thing I do respect about Irish, and we have'nt enough data to be able to judge accurately yet, but I do like his conviction on youth..imo, our defense has a chance to be top 5 overall, and hes done it his way..

Sanders and Smith are not old though, 30 31 is still a pretty good age..

Chad Ochocinco is too much of a celebrity and no longer a dominating football player.

Chad JOHNSON on the other hand was a BEAST of a wide receiver, however, lets not forget that TJ Houshminzadah (sp?) helped make Chad Johnson what he was.

Alex Rodriguez' favorite team was the Miami Dolphins, let's sign him up. Hell, after thinking about it, the Dolphins are my team, where's my contract offer?

If Juan Huron can get a look, I think I'm deserving...
