Do you guys agree with me now when I say he's Top 10 in the NFL? Everyone wants to play for Rex or wants Mark on their team. I put my case to bed.

Mark Sanchez had 15 dropped INTs. His apparently mediocre year was distorted by that fact. He is actually quite awful. Not a single team in the NFL would choose Mark Sanchez to QB their team, even if you removed Brady, Manning, Brees, Roethlisberger, Rodgers, Rivers, Cutler, and Vick from the possible choices. I'd still take Bradford, Ryan, Flacco, Henne, and probably some others Im not remembering off the top of my head before taking Sanchez. He strives for average and fails.

EDIT: Add Eli, Schuab, Cassel, Palmer, Orton, Garrard, and Freeman to the list of QBs Id take before Sanchez. That puts him at #20, and Im debating taking Ryan Fitzpatrick and Jon Kitna before him too.

Mark Sanchez has more playoff road wins than most of the QBs you named on your entire list combined. Mark may never win an MVP title or put up numbers like Manning or that peice of **** in New England, but the guy is a PROVEN winner. He knows how to win games. He does NOT fold under pressure like the Matt Ryan's, like the Joe Flacco's, like the Jay Cutler's, like the Matt Cassel's (Face-palm), like the Carson Palmer's (Double face-palm), like the David Garrard's (Triple face-palm), and like the Jon Kitna's (Speechless on that one).

You obviously have no idea whatsoever on the topic you are speaking of. The only QBs I will take TODAY over Mark Sanchez is Aaron Rodgers, Ben Roethlisberger, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and Drew Brees. I like Sam Bradford, but he's not in Mark's league.

Please, go get your facts straight. Mark Franchize is a winna.

While I agree that he continues to improve, and I have always liked the pace at which he plays and that he's not afraid to take risks, he is not yet a Top 10 QB.

Off the top of my head, I'd take Brady, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Big Ben, Rivers, Romo, Freeman, Bradford, Ryan, Schaub, Flacco over Sanchez. I would take Matthew Stafford over Sanchez if he could stay on the field. And that isn't to say there aren't other QB's better than Sanchez right now. Those are simply guys I'd build around before Sanchez. Andrew Luck will also be better than Sanchez once he comes out.

This isn't to say the Jets got it wrong. They certainly made out better than we did. But it isn't quite the situation you think it is IMHO.

Can't you give him credit for winning playoff games on the road at a consistent basis? It's not easy winning at San Diego, Indy, and New England. At least you're giving him some credit.

The running game and defense had more to do with winning those games than Mark Sanchez. I'll admit, he has made some very clutch throws in some of those wins (Indy this past year), but he couldn't put the team on his back and rally them against the Steelers. I'd argue that a guy like Brady, Brees, or Manning could've brought their team back.

Last time I checked this isn't golf.....you have a team around you. Ted Ginn returned those 2 kicks against the jets and won the game, would you say Mark Sanchez lost that game? No. So when the jets win a game, its the jets winning, not Mark Sanchez winning the game. Troll.

Being on a team that wins on the road in the playoffs doesnt make you better at your position. Is everyone on the Jets top 10 at their position because they were on the same team as Sanchez that won those road playoff games? None of your argument is valid. Sanchez is not even close to elite status. Opposing defensive coordinators arent scared of his abilities. No one mentions him among the best at his position. He would have had 20+ INTs again this year if not for luck.

Proven winner? Is that derived from his 70.2 career QB rating?

Let's look at Mark Sanchez' Top 10 rankings:

    • 2010 Pass Attempts: 507, 9th
    • 2009 Interceptions Thrown: 20, 2nd
    • 2009 yds/comp: 12.7, 7th
    • 2010 sack percentage: 5.9%, 9th
    • 2010 fumbles: 10, 7th
    • 2009 fumbles: 9, 5th
Wow! Doesnt choke under pressure, but fumbles more than nearly everyone in the NFL, throws more interceptions than nearly every QB, and is forced to throw 507 passes to make up for his mistakes that cost his team. Top ten loser.

Delusional disorder, previously called paranoid disorder, is a type of serious mental illness called a "psychosis" in which a person cannot tell what is real from what is imagined. The main feature of this disorder is the presence of delusions, which are unshakable beliefs in something untrue.

No. That's as stupid as judging pitchers solely on their win/loss record. Team game. I'll give him credit for not curling up in the fetal position in the spotlight but it's not like they were advancing in the playoffs because he was having amazing games.

I would hope Brady, Brees, Rivers, and Manning would win those type of games because they are better QBs than Sanchez. However, Sanchez has done it at a consistent basis.

Look back at Cleveland.. I know we got lucky with a couple of plays but Sanchez threw a dart between two defenders to Santonio for the score.

Look back at Detroit.. He bobbled the snap, yet he kept his composure, moved into the pocked, and found Holmes for a 53 yard pass.

Look back Houston.. This was all Sanchez, IMO. He did a lot of smart plays by throwing near the sidelines, by dumping it off, by looking away the receivers so that Braylon Edwards can burn Allen (Again).

Also look back at Denver and at Indy.. He made critical plays at critical times. He knows when to come up big.

Stats are misleading. Being a winner is more important than being talented. Any great coach or scout will tell you that.

    Appreciate it!

By his logic everyone on the Jets is top 10 at their position for being a part of those wins. And since the Dolphins have beat the Jets 3 of 4 times with Mark Sanchez at QB, everyone on the Dolphins is at least top 9 at their positions.

You don't have to have 'amazing' games to be a good QB. Come on, man. You and I know you will love for him to be in a Dolphin uniform at this point in his career. You guys, without a doubt, would be a playoff team. I was going to mention Sanchez playing in Miami and getting away from the cold, but the cold doesn't even bother him anymore. He won in Pittsburgh, won in New England, nearly won in Chicago if it wasn't for our defense, and won a couple of games in New York. He's a better player than you think.

That is not true. We're talking about the most important position in all of sports right now. Are you kidding me? The only players on the Jets that I think are Top 10 players at their position are Sanchez, Ferguson, Mangold, Revis, and Harris.

Can you at least agree with me with that situation?

But what you're saying is that he is a top 10 Qb, and STATS do not mislead when it comes to figuring it out. What Sanchez has been is a game manager. Not some elite Qb....

NO! Mark Sanchez is not top 10. He's average AT BEST. He has thrown more INTs than TDs. His QB rating is 70. He has had 4 games with 3 TDs. That does not qualify him as a top 10 QB. How can he be top 10 without finishing top 10 in one single important stat category for quarterbacks? Top 10 in TDs? NO. Yards? NO. Completions? NO. Fewest turnovers? NO. You have absolutely no case for saying what youre saying about him. Your homerism is so lame its unreal. A case can be made that Chad Henne is better than Sanchez, and he's on the cusp of being thrown out on his ***. What makes Sanchez so special that he can be mediocre and still be treated like an MVP?

How many division championships does Sanchez have? None.
    Conference championships? None.
    Super Bowl championships? None.
    How many pro bowls? None.
    Accomplishments of any kind? None.
Winner? Cant lie. All he does is win. Win absolutely nothing.

Dont winners get trophies? a hat? something?

Since your entire case for Sanchez being a top 10 QB hinges on him being a "winner", you'd think he'd have actually won something. Instead his stats show he sucks, and so do his lack of trophies. If anyone's IQ is in question, I think its yours. Now go think of another excuse to say he is great, because he hasn't won jack ****.

WTF has Chad Henne done in this league? Absolutely nothing. We're talking about a guy who got benched for Chad Pennington. All I care about is playoff wins and how my QB performs in the 4th quarter. That's the most important statistic.

This will have to continue later. I gotta go. Someday youll realize the difference between being a media star and a football star. Sanchez is this ultrahumble, totally committed amazing player during his press conferences. Too bad that doesnt make you better at football. Neither does sleeping with 17 year olds.

i think the defense plays a huge part in sanchezĀ“s success, you would not take sam bradford over mark sanchez after the numbers he has put up for a very bad st. louis rams team ? danny amendola, danario alexander, brandon gibson, mardy giliard.....YES this were his receivers last year, donnie avery got hurt in TC and mark clayton who was lighting it up with him fantasy wise got hurt after 5 games....

So you're saying Sanchez is a winner, despite not having won anything? Not a division, conference, or super bowl championship. He is a winner, and therefore a top 10 QB because he was on a team that won a few road playoff games? By your logic, everyone on the Jets are "winners" and "top 10 at their positions" because they all contributed to those wins.

I find it funny that you give Sanchez credit for those wins and say he is top 10, but fail to recognise that it is Rex Ryan's defense that is the real reason the Jets won those games. The Jets defense is top 10. Their quarterback is not even close.

He's shown it in one more season than Sanchez has.

Trent Dilfer won the Super Bowl. Top 10 QB? Not even close.

Brad Johnson won the Super Bowl. Top 10 QB? Not even close.

Mark Sanchez didnt even make it to the Super Bowl. Top 10 QB? Not even close.

What do all these teams have in common? Average to below average QBs with amazing defenses to bail them out and set them up with great field position. But no!!!! This cant be true! Mark Sanchez sleeps with teenagers, and he was drafted really high, and he says all the right things. All of their wins are because of his unstoppable ability to turn the ball over. He's so good that the coaching staff needs to color coordinate the play calls to alert him of when he better not throw another pick. Im sure Peyton Manning and Drew Brees have that same problem. Great minds think alike after all. Nevermind the fact that Sanchez doesnt have stats to back up his status. Just ignore his below average QB rating, all of his turnovers, his inability to throw as accurately as a great QB, and his lack of winning anything. LEts just assume that the Jets would have gone nowhere without him. He is the reason they win! Having a quarterback who has proven to be good in place of Sanchez would be a mistake. There is no way having an actual top 10 QB would make the Jets better. The Jets have traded to acquire as many weapons for Sanchez as possible, and he still throws for less yards than Chad Henne who is on the hot seat himself. Having 15 dropped INTs (over twice as many as any other QB) skewed his TD:INT ratio to be slightly above even. Therefore, he made progress!!!! Yay!!! Mark Sanchez is maturing into a really good quarterback! w00t! LMAO!
