Trade down, recoup the 2nd I like the players that fit our needs, they set up in the draft pretty well, it could spark the fanbase, connect the two, reenergize the culture, and create new fans.. Brandon harris, Leonard Hankerson..Orlando Franklin..Graig Cooper..Colin Mccarthy..and sign Jeremy Shockey.. could you imagine..lol, i'd take all them mother grabbers.
I'd rather stay at 15 and not possibly miss out on yet another impact player like we did last year........ you keep passing on impact players and you make no impact
Normally I'd agree. But the difference in talent between 15 and 25-28 is so small that trading down to pick up a 2nd rounder is the way to go IMO. I kinda boils down to A) Ingram & Little vs B) Leshoure & Kaepernick & Little. Or something like that.
Hard to argue w/ that. I'm almost hoping he isnt there b/c it'd so hard to justify passing on him. If he's not there I think we can trade down and pick up Greg Little later on. IMO he can scratch that same itch w/o us spending a #1 pick.
I honestly don't see much in Brandon Harris other than athleticism. I do like Shockey, Hankerson, and Cooper though. That would be pretty interesting, lol. I've said it before. This is the only guy I would trade up for. Lots of analysts are speculating that he will fall further than 14 because of his injury to his foot. But, others are saying he raised his stock at he combine, because he performed so well with that injury. Give us the worst QB in the league and he will have success with a WR corps of Marshall-Jones-Bess-Hartline. 1-2 guys will be open EVERY play. Anyone else hoping Sidney Rice lands in St. Louis? He would stay far away from our rivals/anyone that could impact our playoff chances and it could mean that the Rams decide to pass on a WR in the first round.
This may or may not be true tho...... someone may slide and then instead of a star, we get two decent players. I'll take the star every time, personally
I think we are at that point right now JS, how many meat and potatoes drafts are we going to have? That is the price, I'd guess, from missing on White and Turner in 09. Anyone else think that the Dolphins draft so few Hurricanes players because the Dolphins players and Staff see them out at clubs and private parties? They know all of the durty stuff they did in College so they pass on them?
