Oh god, I'm so sorry to hear that. Sometimes Dolphin fans just go overboard. Considering your family history, she was probably also your aunt, mother, and first cousin as well. Obviously that makes it like triple sad.
i like the part about him swearing on his heart and soul that they'll be back and win. like he's the friggin left guard or something. sit your *** dwn and wait for more empty promises, disappointments, and freaky gross surprises.
the CBA comes back, the free wheeling spending is over, David Harris walks, Holmes isnt the same without Braylon, and vice versa, which in turn makes Sanchez less effective.....plus the Pats are going to get even better with FA and the draft, not to mention Bellacheat and Brady are going to stick a cattle prod up the Jets *** from that now.... you guys are done, you went for it this year, because they knew this was the only year that was going to be like this, contracually...you went for it and failed....
Funny. The Dolphins have sold out every game for damn near 22 years running. The MIAMI HEAT has SOLD OUT every game THIS YEAR and have commitments for the next 4 years. and a quick look at the attendance figures...shows...OF COURSE..That THE HEAT has BETTER attendance than THE NEW YORK Knicks. and the Celtics..and the Lakers...and are 5th in the NBA. with a 100.9% PERFECT attendance number. (The only reason they can't be #1 is because of capacity) WHY DO YOU LIE ALL THE TIME? is it ingrained in most of you Jet fans? Just..WHY? you do know that in the internet, these things can be looked up rather easily...right? http://espn.go.com/nba/attendance/_/sort/allPct
I love the fandom, but this is comical. I don't know why you would post this on a Dolphins message board. It seems more suited for a Jets message board. You obviously care about what we say/think, or else you wouldn't post it on this message board. You promise that the Jets will be back to the AFC Championship game? Is that serious? If you promise, then I want you to put your entire life savings on it. Also, if you break that promise, I will forever label you a liar because you swore on it. Also, you swear on your life and soul, so if they don't make it, can I just go all Tsang Tsung on you and take your soul? Although, I don't know if I want it because I might be tempted to root for the Jets and take on all the crap a Jets fan has. If the Jets make it to next year's AFC Championship, I'll be throughly impressed. Hell, I've been impressed the past two years. However, I'll be mores impressed because they will have done it with a team that isn't a strong as this one (that's pure speculation as we haven't seen the entire offseason yet, but hinging they can't keep all of their FA's), a team that is older than this year's team, and with a QB that isn't of elite status--as of yet (unlike Donovan McNabb in Philly, or Peyton Manning in Indy, or Tom Brady in NE, when they were consistently going to Championship games). All jest aside (no pun intended), you should be proud of the team, it's been almost 20 years since we've been to an AFC Championship and you've done it back-to-back years. However, as a Jets fan, I'd feel more uncomfortable about next year than years past.
I think the Jets will resign Harris, Holmes and Cromartie. I came to really like Edwards and he will be missed. Brad Smith will hit the open market and if a team is willing to expand his role, he will be gone. However, Cromartie has shown that he can return kicks. LT might come back, but if he doesn't look for McKnight to take his place. Either way Greene will be the feature back. Other than Harris, there is no other FA on defense that I wouldn't mind losing. JT should retire. Ellis is old. And quite frankly, I think Ryan will always field a top 10 defense no matter who he has. Lastly, I think Sanchez will continue to improve and I expect the Jets to be back in the playoffs. How far they go will depend on them finally getting a home game. 3 straight on the road is just stacking the deck against you. I am cautiously optimistic, as are most NFL fans. sent from my EVO 4G
Rex loves db's. I really think he stays....not that he is anything special, but he doesn't suck. I've heard rumblings of the Jets going after the Raider CB and moving Cromartie to safety.
Wow this is unreal the jets WILL NOT be back in the same position next year too many FA's be realistic man sheesh
You guys are a very classy bunch. On that note, I honestly think the Jets will re-sign both Edwards and Holmes. We need Sanchez to have all the weapons but then again, that guy can make any of us look good. I think both Holmes and Edwards will be back. Cromartie.. It depends on his asking price. I don't know weather we can put so much money into a position and we did draft a CB in the 1st round last season to actually play on #2 receivers and not the nickle. We also did give up a 2nd for Cromartie. At the end of the day, I think we keep him. David Harris.. He's a good LB, not great. He will get great LB money, though. If that's the case, I don't want him back. Tanny is a genius. I'm positive that he will bring all of these guys back for sure.
Coming from a fan of a team that swore, and I mean, SWORE, they were winning the SB this year. Fans as much as their blow hard head coach!! UPS
Well after thinking about it, I don't think UPS was the appropriate term I could have used. I meant it as in just missing something, but in capital letters, like I typed, it could be taken as the company that delivers packages all across the world and we all know the Jets did not DELIVER a darn thing now did they? so let me say this..... oopppsss
I don't think Tanny is a genius. Although he is awfully good at this job. Nonetheless, I see the Jets focusing more on re-signing as many of the defensive FAs as possible. Harris probably gets their Franchise Tag if they're allowed to use one. I'll say right now, No way...NO WAY will the Jets be able to re-sign both Holmes and Edwards. Tannenbaum may be good at his job, but he's not a magician. Face it the Jets will look very different next year from what they looked like this year. Your '10 Jets team was built for short term success, not long term. It's probably hard, as a fan to accept, but deep down you know it's true.
Great post! Everything you said was spot on. I'm not too worried about it.. We made the AFC Championship in Sanchez's rookie year with Edwards and Cotchery. We can do it again. You're prolly one of the only 3 posters on here that is actually intelligent. I'm one of the 3, of course.
Be fair, now. The way the Jets were put together, it wasn't necessarily now or never. But certainly it was now or not for many years. At some point the money driving the artificial assembly of this team can only accomplish so much. It is simply no substitute for the kind of long-term personnel acumen, organization and coaching that build a real champion. The new CBA, free agency, parity and Father Time will all have their effect. This was their peak. It's downhill from here. Now, I will be the first one to admit that for decades now, the Dolphins have lacked these three ingredients for an eventual championship, and sadly, still do. But when you anoint yourselves as the Super Bowl champions in the preseason, you have to face the music when you fall short. The fact is, this season the Jets are champions of nothing. They couldn't get past the team that lost the Super Bowl. They didn't win the AFC. They didn't even win their division. And they even lost once to a Dolphins team riddled with very serious inadequacies and deficiencies.
Translation = "You're not calling me out for being a jackass throughout the entire season, or for my ridiculous boasts and predictions, therefore you're 'intelligent.'"
You guys have a very good group of players,The good part is you have your Qb and from there all things come in place.
Yeah, I'd say you're prolly wrong and that you're prolly just a troll that will prolly live with your parents until they die and they prolly wish you would get a job only nobody will prolly hire you
