    Here we go. You understand.

Less than more. All the variables so far point to less.

To a point, unlike most I credit Sparano for playing a slew of young talent in 2010, that will develop and we will have Odie and Edds (Edie?) back for 2011, unlike pessimists I know that the Dolphins of 2010 were far different than the shoddy rent a wreck Saban was trying to win with, if one compares the average age of the 2010 team to 2008, we have gotten even younger.

We are somewhat used to mostly vet teams slowly growing worse as the seasons roll on, instead we will grow better as the young players develop, that to me is what pessimists are missing the fact that the Core of the Dolphins is really very young.

Granted. You make points...However....Young players without any sort of solid base?

That's a company you would invest in?

The best values are when a company is growing, not when it has arrived, besides one of the market leaders in the division, the Jets, are on the cusp of losing 3,4,5 or more of their pieces on offense and defense and special teams.

That said, it is a truism in the NFL that the one who builds a team often is not around long enough to harvest a reward for their efforts and the dislike they garner in so building.

In today's NFL, the Andy Reid's and Bill Belichecks are more or less relics, now a Coach has a short window to draft and coach up, if they fail someone else inherits their hard work, for example Marty Schottenheimer being fired after a 14-2 season to be replaced by their very own version of Wanny..Norv Turner.

Ol' Norv has had a good run on Marty S's guys, that is how things work in today's NFL, Sparano should consider himself very fortunate to be given another shot.

Marty had inherant flaws that can't be ignored. Look..I've got no issue with you. You understand what I'm talking about and aren't
    blinded by your innner fan.

To me...And this is just IMO..Any coach, unless the team completely implodes gets three years. That's enough time for two years worth of running stuff to bear fruit or not. Fourth year? *mmmmmm.....Maybe* Only reason Tony gets another year is the salvage job he did once.

For me, it is the discipline the team consistently shows, save for McQuistan, once again we were either the least penalized team, or #2, that is a sign of good coaching, that is why I still have confidence in Sparano and moreso in Ireland.

Marty S never should have been fired, maybe he butted heads with AJ Smith, but that team has pretty much missed their window even in the weak AFCW, they have used up LT and are about to use up Antonio Gates, Merriman is gone etc.

Anymore it is 2yrs, and one thing people overlook about the 08 team is, it was far more exprienced than the 2010 Team, but now players like Vontae and Smith and Langford and Long and Bess etc are moving into their third or fourth yrs, they should be in their prime for the 2011 season just simple maturity will lead to improvement imho.

The real problem with Sparano, imho, is he has not matured as a Head Coach, if anything I think he has regressed as he does not seem to trust the young players now, as much as he did in 08, he took more playing time risks in 08, in 2010 there was not much of that happening, now before a player can see playing time at their position they have to earn their spurs on Special Teams whether they are any good at their jobs on ST or not.

THAT creates piss poor performance on that Unit and he really must rethink how he approaches player development imho.

    I have no fundamental disagreement.

He's got about 8 games to get it rewired though, and don't think everyone doesn't know it.
