After all the crap this guy has put this franchise and it's fans through.......Ricky Williams has really got a huge set of brass balls. What a pendejo.:pity:

“Tony goes through a lot of effort to show us the things it takes to win football games,” Williams said. “Not turning the ball over, converting third downs, scoring in the Red Zone. He spends a lot of time saying, ‘If you do these things, you win.’ And sometimes I feel personally that he does a little bit too much. My personal opinion is if you have the right attitude that you guys are going to win, then all that other stuff takes care of itself.”

Williams, 33, also was unhappy about his playing time this season, when he had an average of fewer than 10 carries per game.

    No wait he is G O D

    No he sucks

oh wait more interceptions to come

Oh wait we should trade the entire ****ing team for Andrew Luck

No.....at least give up the next 15 years 1rst round picks for him

Have I mentioned that Chad Henne sucks

No wait he is the greatest QB ever

Makes Marino look like a chump

No wait it Dan Henning's fault

Henne should have not called so many play action passes.......Henne is much closer to G O D without the play action

    Henne sucks.......no he is great.........................................................................................

He didn't get many carries because he kept giving the ball away to the other team. His timing on turning the ball over this season was devastating. Now his mouth is flappin out trash like Joey Porter of 2009. Writings on the wall.

Well to me it is fairly obvious that he was trying to get Sparano fired, I thought it was a dirty move on his part thusly he is 'snake' to me.

I used to catch his show with El Cid every Monday until that happened, now he can do whatever, I simply do not care.

I agree with him on certain points. You don't win games by not turning the ball over. You don't win games by converting third downs. You win games by scoring more points than the other team. Scoring in the red zone helps. I don't remember the exact numbers but a lot of scoring doesn't occur in the red zone. Maybe if the coaches focused more on the things that produce points instead of things that are an effect of other things (turnovers) then we would be a better team.

Well if that's the case my only problem with Ricky is that he didn't put more effort into it....

Sparano and company mismanaged the running game and the development of the WC as badly as they mismanaged the development of Henne....... if I were a running back on this team I would think he was a poor coach too. Oh wait...I do...lol

Still, RW is a flaky dude that just says whatever is on his mind....... I think you're reaching here

After Sparano had been retained..bit late then Deej..

And honestly..yep, keep in mind Deej I've listened to Ricky Williams' show for 4 months at that point so you wind up with a feel for the man, add in El Cid said the S FL media was "gutless" for not making a bigger deal out of what he had to say and it became rather clear what he was attempting to do.

Well, fwiw Starks tweeted that he was loving the pro bowl practices because they were so much easier than the way Sparano runs a practice, something that does not surprise me as his real mentor, Tom Coughlin, had a small mutiny in his team in 07 because his practices were not enjoyed by the team.

Ck once said that Sparano's answer, work even harder, is not always the right answer but it was what Sparano knew how to do so he always did it, really made sense, sometimes "smarter" is much better than "harder".

Correct, and don't forget about abandoning his team one week before TC, and missing more than 2 seasons of time due to not being able to control his own life. Yeah, I don't forget those things...Ricky Williams certainly underachieved last season and so far in his entire career, that is a given. That man needs to be beholden to the organization that he's still here....

And what he's specifically missing is that different players need different motivations and there are 52 other players that Sparano was concerned with, so Tony wasn't out of line with how he handled things....

At the end of the day, I think Ricky is somewhat right. Remember, he is a savvy veteran who knows what it takes to win, and is philosophical enough to understand how to treat grown men.

The point he is trying to make is that Sparano is treating his team like they are a bunch of Pop Warner players, emphasizing every little detail to death. These guys are in the NFL, and have probably been playing football for the most part of their life - they know it is important to score in the red zone, not fumble, etc! Granted, every coach has to emphasize these things to a certain degree, that is what makes a team disciplined. For example the regime's first year we only turned the ball over what, 9 times? AP not fumbling as much this year. Yes, those micro aspects have to be addressed, but not constantly.

It somewhat resembles a coach not trusting his players, and it is hard for players to excel at their job if they don't feel like they're ever allowed let loose and go balls to the wall. Or better/worse yet, they play to not make a mistake. The thing I like about Rex Ryan (don't flame me) is that he tells his players go out there and kick their arses, you are a better team, etc. Where Sparano would say remember fellas, don't fumble, and Chad, it is okay to check down all the time, just don't throw a pick.

Sorry, but Ricky is right. Treat the team like men and give them a vote of confidence to inspire them, not tell them all the mistakes that they shouldn't make, mistakes that they very well know how to avoid - they are professionals. Trust them for crying out loud. If a coach can't trust his players then he isn't coaching them properly IMO. Let these guys play!

EDIT: Off topic, but I saw, and I may be wrong, a rookie Vontae Davis playing fast and hard with swagger, and this year he seemed to tone it down a bit, is missing tackles, etc. It is like we put a leash on the guy, making him conservative. Vontae only knows how to play one way, fast, hard, risky, etc. I think he is losing that here in Miami. He still had a great year, but I still think he is losing one of his best attributes in his aggressive nature.

I hope im wrong and he proves all of us wrong.Could you imagine henn throws over 20 td makes the pro bowl and we make it to the finals.

Ricky knows how to win ?? What has he won as a Fin ?? A rushing title is about it ?? How many playoff appearances has he been in ?? 2 ?? Ricky is a great complement to Ronnie, but he's no longer a #1 guy, he proved that the previous season when he struggled once Ronnie was out and ran out of gas at the end of the season. He's replaceable.

As to how Sparano treats or doesn't treat them, what have the individuals on this team done to prove to Sparano that they can handle the task at hand ?? Long, Davis, Soliai are about the only guys who had solid seasons straight thru. Pretty much everyone else had up and down seasons... Some finished strongly, but started slow or vice versa.... There are quite a few things wrong with this franchise beginning with talent or lack thereof in specific areas. The offensive play calling was flawed as well. STs were a disaster waiting to happen. Now the powers-to-be have addressed that so we'll have to see how it works out, but whether Tony is holding his guys back isn't as big an issue as the other things I mentioned....

Woahh Ricky States His Opinion In An Article And Hes the Most Hated Dolphins Woohoo.
I Swear People are Wayy to Sensitive Its Not Even Funny. I Would be Mad if i had Under 10 carrys per game too, Id Be Mad If Our Playcaller called a horrible plays in the game at the worst time.

I Still Like Ricky and im all for Having a Voice and Using It. Thats Why The Dolphins are So Boring, We Always Want Everyone To Be Positive 24/7, and CONSERVATIVE , Loosen Up Man. I Agree With What Ricky Says At Least It Gives Us Something To Talk About and Keeps Us Entertained About The Dolphins
