Glad to see you found my statement as hilarious as I find the inability to comprehend how starting for 4 years at a major college is advantageous for a player to reach his potential in the NFL. Seriously? Wow...

Below is Parcells criteria for drafting a QB:

    1. The candidate must be a senior.
    2. The candidate must be a college graduate, and he must hold a 4 year degree. Candidates with some graduate work will be preferred.
    3. The candidate must have a B average or better in school.
    4. The candidate must have been a 3 year starter in college.
    5. The candidate must have made 30 starts in college.
    6. The candidate must have 23 victories in college.
    7. The candidate must impress us as a strong leadership figure
    8. The candidate must be strongly recommended by his head coach.
    9. The candidate cannot have a rap-sheet, or run-ins with the law.
Of which Henne met when drafted. The belief being these players display character, leadership, and are able to contribute sooner in the NFL given their experience.

As for missing the point, I wasn't referring to any of your points so I missed nothing. I was making a point of my own which appeared to be completely missed or not able to comprehend. :wink2:

Not defending those type of fans, but I can understand their frustration. It's hard being a Dolphins fan, especially for those who grew up with the Dolphins during the 70's. I've expressed frustration to the point that when I said once I was about to jump ship to the Jags, I was raked across the coals for such blasphemy.

I do indeed hope that Daball can bring some fire to our offense and as I said in another thread, based on his experience, he may be able to do so. He didn't have the tools available to him in Cleveland as we have in Miami plus, how many times has a coached bombed with one team only to blossom in another? Kevin Gilbride is an OC that comes to mind.

For those expressing the frustration with their disdain over the hire...hang in their guys. I've lived through the height of Dolphin greatness starting back in '72, the almost return to induring the 80's and feeling the same as you do over the last decade in which our team has been mediocre at best. It'll come full circle and when the Dolphins do return to greatness, you'll be able to say you have ALWAYS been a proud Dolphins fan

One of my brothers in law has ALWAYS been a Colts fan...even back when the SUCKED. Now he can consistently rub it in my face and I can't give him any crap about it. He stuck by his team through the good as well as the bad.

Stick by our Dolphins...realize during poor seasons that "it is what it is" and when the tables turn...when it comes full circle and we're reigning supreme again, we'll be just like my brother in law is with his team.....always a Dolphins faithful and able to bask and reap the rewards of our loyalty.

You are so right man. Four year starters never need development when they get to the NFL. You just plop them in and instant Pro Bowl. You're right I couldn't comprehend your point because it was pointless. You said that he has the equivalent to 6 years development in the NFL. Do you watch football at all. The game is just a little different  Besides Henne was just an arm in college and now he is being asked to do many different things at the highest level of competition.
I can't believe I have to explain this you. :wink2:

Think about this for a minute. Parcells has never mentored and developed a star quarterback.

He inherited Phil Simms who was average but had the gift the adequately manage a game
He inherited Drew Bledsoe who was already an established quarterback with credentials of his own prior to Parcells' arrival in New England
He brought in veteran Vinny Testaverde to run his team in New York
He goes to Dallas and everyone thought he was the savior of the franchise and his first attempt to develop a young quarterback in Romo
He comes to Miami and tries his quarterback luck again...in Pat White...the Chad Henne.

Bill Parcells has zero history in developing a successful NFL quarterback. Like everyone else, when he initially came to Miami, I was hopeful, but like everyone else, I was made a fool of.

Well when you hire David Lee who knows diddly poo about developing an NFL QB and a 70 year old stubborn old mule to run your offense you get what you pay for. Chad Henne hasn't been taught a damn thing about being an NFL QB except what he has heard frpm Pennington. His growth has been stunted tremendously and it shows. Finally we have a young ambitious guy who knows how to work with a young QB and get them on the right track.
The rub is we lost the masters of the WildCat. That really breaks my heart. :wink2:

So, you are choosing to blame the mule instead of the guy who put it to work, and could have removed it for another mule at any time?
