just curious how past drafts have worked out for everybody. decided to take a look for myself. i was only in the 2008 and 2010 leagues. here are my two drafts

    2008

    13. Phillip Merling, DE, Clemson (2nd string dolphins)
    60. Tracy Porter, CB, Indiana (1st string saints)
    75. Ali Highsmith, LB, LSU (out of league)
    108. Eddie Royal, WR, Virginia Tech (1st string broncos)
    175. Steve Octavien, OLB, Nebraska (out of league)
    206. Steve Johnson, WR, Kentucky (1st string bills)

    2010

Joe Haden, CB, Florida (1st string browns)
Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas (nfi list ravens)
Jahvid Best, RB, California (1st string lions)
Riley Cooper, WR, Florida (2nd string eagles)
Perrish Cox, CB, Oklahoma State (1st string broncos/ recently arrested)
Andrew Quarless, TE, Penn State (2nd string packers)
Jeff Owens, DT, Georgia (practice squad eagles)
Shawn Lauvao, OG, Arizona State (2nd string browns)

so both drafts produced three starters for me. how did you guys do

    2009 (w/ Alen)

    Brian Orakpo (Pro Bowl 2009)
    Tyson Jackson (Chiefs First String)
    Jarrett Dillard (Nothing)
    Andy Levitre (Bills First String)
    Jasper Brinkley (Vikings Second String)
    Deangelo Smith (Nothing)
    Aaron Brown (Nothing)
    Julius Williams (Nothing)
    Garrett Reynolds (Nothing)

    2010

    Eric Berry (Chiefs First String)
    Brandon LaFell (Panthers Third String)
    Koa Misi (Dolphins First String)
    Jimmy Graham (Saints Third String)
    Daniel Teo-Nesheim (Nothing)
    Trevard Lindley (Eagles Third String)
    Trindon Holliday (Nothing)
    Zac Robinson (Lions Third String)
    Seyi Ajirotutu (Chargers Third String)

I haven't done bad. Orakpo is my (ours - Alen was a big help) best pick with a Pro Bowl birth in 2009. I have lots more players on teams in 2010 but a lot of them need work. Overall I have 5 clear cut starters, with a number of players (Lindley, LaFell, Graham) possibly moving up in the next few years.

Orkapo was a great pick. I am doing well with receivers and secondary but my defensive line players havent set the world on fire yet. I like Jimmy Graham. Think he might develop into an Aaron Fernandez type of TE in a year or two. He's on the right type of team to develop too. Seyi Ajirotutu had an excellent game against Houston so you might have a nice developmental receiver there too

go to advanced search and just punch in gm league with the year and either go to team pages or to posted draft thread. 2008 i had to go to FH since thats where that one was from. for this year just go to the draft thread that has everyone's draft

Aaron Brown's been a solid returner and he had a couple big plays recently.

Jarett Dillard has been injured. I've read nothing but good things about him in practices. Garrett Reynolds is still on an NFL roster and has actually played in 4 games for ATL. I think we did well. 6 of 9? 66 %, average is 40 %.

    2008:
1st-11th overall (from Buffalo) Jonathan Stewart, RB Oregon (splitting first string with Deangalo)
1st-18th overall Chris Williams, OT Vanderbilt (starting at LG for the Bears)
2nd-44th overall (from Carolina) Early Doucet, WR LSU (3rd WR for the Cards flailing offense)
3rd-94th overall (from Buffalo) Steve Justice, C Wake Forest (I believe he's in the UFL with Florida Tuskers... OUCH!)
3rd-95th overall (from Buffalo) Brad Cottam, TE Tennessee (still with the Chiefs, but I believe on IR?)
4th-125th overall (from Atlanta) Brian Johnston, DE Gardner-Webb (free agent doh)
5th-146th overall Nicholas Hayden, DT Wisconsin (starting for the Panthers at DTACK)
6th-173rd overall (from Buffalo) Kevin O'Connell, QB San Diego State (IR for the Jets)
6th-177th overall Arman Shields, WR Richmond (free agent)

    2009:

1st - 21st RB Chris "Beanie" Wells - Ohio State (Starting for the Cards)
1st - 25th LB Larry English - NIU (rotational pass rusher for the Chargers)
2nd - 41st CB Sean Smith - Utah (starting CB for our Phins)
3rd - 67th TE Shawn Nelson - Southern Miss (with the Bills but not playing after being suspended four games for violation of the league SAP)
4th - 112th NT/DE Roy Miller - Texas (starting DTACK for the Bucs)
5th - 148th RB Kory Sheets - Purdue (on the PHINS IR)
6th - 164th DE Pannel Egboh - Stanford (with the Eagles, PS?)
6th - 166th G Louis Vasquez - Texas Tech (starting for the Chargers at G)
7th - 212th QB Mike Reilly - Central Washington (think he's in the CFL or UFL)

    2010:

1.12 OLB Brandon Graham, Michigan (situational rusher for the Eagles)
2.39 ILB Sean Lee, Penn State (dime LBer for the Cowboys)
3.70 WR Dexter McCluster, Mississippi (IR for the Chiefs?)
3.74 CB Dominique Franks, Oklahoma (IR for the Falcons?)
3.78 S Reshad Jones, Georgia (rotating at S for Phins)
3.94 TE Ed Dickson, Oregon (started last night for the Ravens)
5.155 CB Kevin Thomas, USC (IR for the Colts)

That is a rough 2010 so far, but it's early... lots of IR there... Done a decent job taking Dtacks late in drafts with Hayden and Miller and Vasquez at G was a nice find late. 2009 draft looking to be the best of the three, course I had three first round picks that year.

Round 1, Pick 13 - T Brian Baluga: 1st Team RT for Green Bay
Round 1, Pick 21 - WR Golden Tate: 2nd Team WR for Seattle
Round 2, Pick 50 - OLB Jason Worilds: 2nd Team OLB for Pittsburgh

Overall, I am pretty happy so far with this draft. Baluga has really come on for Green Bay. Worilds is behind Woodly and Harrison in Pittsburgh, and Tate has a 59 year old throwing him the ball, but for now you have to call him a miss.

    2009 - Bears
Round 2, Pick 37 - TE Brandon Pettigrew: 1st Team TE for Detroit
Round 2, Pick 47 - WR Brian Robiskie: 1st Team WR for Cleveland
Round 2, Pick 51 - QB Josh Freeman: 1st Team QB for Tampa Bay
Round 2, Pick 60 - C Jonathan Luigs: Out of league

I remember this draft, I was going to take Pettigrew at 14 in teh first round and traded down five times to get him mid second. Freeman has been a stud, Robiskie just started starting for the Browns. Luigs was playing for the Bengals as a rookie, but got hurt and is now out of the league.

    2008 - Broncos
I can't find, though I remember sucking it up that year

    2007 - Chiefs
Round 1, Pick 7 - DE Jammal Anderson: 2nd Team DE for Atlanta

    Blah, swing and a miss.

    2006 - Jets
No draft picks, all were traded.

That whole draft was a dream, getting to trade down like I did. Even at that time, I think he was projected as a top 20 pick, I'm not sure how he fell that far though. In fact, I think I finished 1-2 in Draft Steal of the Year on he and Pettigrew.

Unfortunately, all of you guys got wise and wouldn't trade with me this draft. ;)

That 2008 Falcons draft is nuts. Cant imagine it getting too much better then 3 pro bowl caliber players (Talib, Rice, Finley), a good starter in Ellis and someone like Henne who could still emerge.
