Thread title contains all you need to know. Fire up the App Store and go buy it. $8.99 through January 5.

And if you don’t know what the hell a Mana is and why it has a Secret, shame on you.

$9 is a little steep but great idea to port it

They actually put a little bit of work into it. New interface, a filter for the graphics (and some are redone and/or recolored), and the script is slightly cleaned up. They also went to the trouble of using a readable font, as opposed to their previous laziness of just porting the PSP version of FF1 and 2 straight over to iOS without adjusting the font at all.

    I’d honestly say it’s worth the $9.

Is this the old SNES game? I remember loving this game but getting to the final boss and not having the right kind of magic upgraded enough to beat him. Maybe it's time to settle some unfinished business...

Worst ending, underwhelming final boss. Call me when FF6 gets ported.

I got it and played it. Great port. Still won't say it's worth $9

If Chaos Rings is worth $12, a port of SoM with moderate effort is worth $9, IMO.

The difference is that Chaos Rings is a whole new IP. In the end, SOM is still a port. They've made their cash from it. Don't butt rape people because of the iPhone's awsomeness.

Port or not, it’s still a full-length game. It offers at least as much value as Chaos Rings and doesn’t cost as much.

We’re not exactly talking about $5 for the repetitive Angry Birds here.
