Would you say in watching the Fins for the last 5 or more years, that it looks like: 1- they play with no swagger 2- they play uninspired 3- they dont seem to get up for games 4- no bad boy mentally 5- play hoping not to loose rather then with confidence How do you fix that attitude we see year after year?
This sounds way too ra-ra for me. Outside of perhaps two games against Arizona in 2008 and New England on the road 2010 they've been had attitude, persistence, and effort. Their problem has been in actual gameplay.
The only game that I feel 1 and 2 have to do with was the last week of the season. 3...maybe one or two more.
the dolphins just need to be more consistent in every phase of the game. who gives a damn about swagger or a bad boy mentality. these guys just need to play hard every down. it got to a point last year were it seemed like they just didnt care

I think the phrase winning cures all....really is quite right in this case. For example, the Patriots check your ego at the door mantra, might not be as well recieved by all players, if they didnt have a consistantly top of class record. They lost Tom Brady, and managed to go 11-5. This isnt lost on players. Is it because of coaching...it sure is.....but it makes the buy in much, much easier when a FA walks in...knowing that playing for the Patriots means a great chance at a Championship. Its the same for the 80's Niners, the 90's Cowboys. I do believe we lack the same confidence the Patriots have.....and I see that returning only when this team knows what it feels like to completely dominate their opposition for an elongated period.
Winning breeds confidence. The fins need to get back to doing things right. That is on the ownership/coaches.
