Sadly, that story won't happen as Morono is clueless. Maybe another 7-9 season will be enough to prove to you that.
No one knows exactly what happened so we should stop assuming so much. For all we know Ross and Co. went up there and asked Jim to be our new offensive coordinator. Every media outlet was just throwing sh%T out there hoping it would stick, the only thing I'm sure about is that they had no idea what was going on and none of us did either. We assume that poor Tony had no idea what was going on and he was at home praying to God he could stay. Well maybe he was involved or at least knew what was up, and that may be the reason he didn't quit outright during all of this. That was the question everyone was asking right? "Why is Tony putting up with all this disrespect?" Maybe he wasn't being disrespected maybe he knew the deal and was ok with it. My point is, shut up. You don't know what your talking about. I hope we get a new OC and win the SuperBowl next year minus the babies who "can't take it anymore."
I like football too much to stop watching it. Sorry that I'm not like you. Sorry that I don't take in the rear and ask for 2nds. And our players will want to play for a guy whom they know is a temporary stop gap? And FAs will want to come in here and play for a team that might get turned upside down in a year? How about the fact that we finished 7-9 with a coach who lost his team at the end of the season? So it only gets better from that?
The Dolphins. I'm not a front running loser like others in this thread. But Ross certainly won't get a dollar out of me, and many others who don't support mediocrity.
Then we'll be an even more of an embarrassment by reneging on the whole "Sparano is the best man for the job" garbage. This organization is losing credibility by the boatload.
The only bright side to this is Sparano is such a joke of a coach, we may be in position to land Luck next year.
Wait, Ireland was with Ross. Maybe the reason it all backfired is because Ireland asked Harbaugh if his wife used to be a whore? After all, old habits die hard...
Its not sparano its henne and henning and that was only clearly evident after this season throwing sparano under the bus... if sparano would have been fired, henne would owe him a serious apology, if he can make some good moves on our offense in the offseason like a qb and fresh legs at rb we'll look good.
I'm no expert, but I'm not sure that's something you change overnight and expect quality results. IMO that'd be like being a Ford mechanic and then saying you're now gonna ditch what you know and work on Porsche.
Bandwagon fans are a disgrace to sports. I hope we tank 2011 & draft Luck + bring in a REAL head coach this time. And it looks like we'll need a new owner to.
No, it's not. Playing for FG's is a Sparano philosophy just as much as it was Henning's. The guy's clock management is terrible. The guy is dumb as hell. Way too stupid to be an NFL Head Coach. And now, nobody can take this little ***** seriously after his boss just went and looked for a replacement for him. We all seen him lose the team at the end of the year, wait until next year. This team is such a joke.
And next year it will be he just needs a 5th year. After that, he'll need a 6th year. When a coach is obviously, a terrible coach, you fire him, and bring in someone competent.
nah four years is enough. he started with a 1-15 team and has turned over 80% of the roster in three years. expectations were too high. he achieved an acceptable record for year three. year four is different. the stakes go up
Some of us are rebels, some arent. After this debacle, any fan deserves to show their discontentment. If you wanna judge fans for letting off some steam, then you go right ahead and do so b/c you're obviously "better" fans than the rest of us.
Btw do you all expect the players to be as dumb as Ricky Williams & trash Sparano publicly while hes still your coach ? No and it was clear as day if you watched the Pats game that our players gave up on him.
dude you wrote that with a patriots avatar and a "ex loyal dolphin fan" saying. lol you really dont get the whole marketing thing do you?
If this was a giant scheme to oust Henning, they could have gone a different route, and saved everyone a lot of heartache.
The really funny thing is that Bieber is a Dolphins fan and may be added as a celebrity owner (hahaha you can't make this stuff up).
Who cares he's the coach you can throw fits all you want, but nothing is going to change (except you allegiances apparently). I think it's hilarious how terrible this is that regardless of what was going to happen, outside of grabbing Belichick, there was going to be a large group of fans complaining about Ross. Whether it was us bringing in a college coach for too much money, or bringing super bowl winning coaches because they would be lackadaisical with their new job, or bringing back the guy that actually has been the best coach we've had in quite some time. I just didn't realize that our fan base was so directly connected to our owner, I am never going to pretend to a Patriots fan or any other team.
Don't do it man. First off...if everyone felt that way, you'd lose your team. I can tell you that you'll never truly appreciate your team until you almost lose it. The Saints season ticket sellout started in 06 after almost losing the team. I was a part of that. I live 5 1/2 hours north but bought season tix to help save the team. Now we have a 50-60k waiting list for tix. The tide will turn at some point and you'll want to be in that number when it does. You don't want to be like the Saints fans who were long time season ticket holders and are now on the waiting list...we hear from them every year. They complain because I can add more tickets before they can buy 1 season ticket. I pay double what I did in 2006. I pay $1 more per ticket than a cowboy fan does in jerryworld for a comparable ticket and $33 more than a falcon fan does in the circus tent they call a dome. I know at some point tough times will come again..but I will weather the storm because I know bad Saints football is better than no Saints football. The dolphins have always been my 2nd NFL team and the canes are my college team. Support your teams through thick and thin. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Tell that to the Falcons who were 4-12 in 2007. Or the Jets who were 4-12 in 2007. Or the Ravens who were 5-11 in 2007, who lost to our terrible 1-15 team. Or the Chiefs who were 4-12 in 2007 and 2-14 in 2008. This team is a joke, and will fail to get a winning record yet again next year.
im not saying im a better fan. by displaying another teams avatar you are not being a fan. not better or worse, just not one at all. thats your right of course
So get on with it and head on over to the Pats forums already, theres plenty of other bandwagoners over there for you to chat with.
No, he's absolutely right. Stephen Ross doesn't deserve anymore of our money if he's this clueless about the team he owns.
