NFL Network reporting Harbaugh could stay at Stanford. I have a feeling this is going to happen. With all the interest and dollars being thrown around watch Harbaugh get spooked and run back to his comfort zone. I have a feeling this is all going to end up with Harbaugh not going to the Dolphins. So with all the reports out today has Tony Sparano even really been fired yet? I'd be real shocked if the Dolphins land Harbaugh.

You know, it makes sense logically speaking. Source told me they would interview Hue Jackson while they were out there. Rooney Rule satisfied. Sparano packs bags/boxes. Done. They fly to LA to sign the contract and thereafter fly to FL to make the announcement tomorrow. Other plane stays in San Jose for Harbaugh's wife and kids to use later. Right when I started to warm up to the idea... go figure. Driving home from work I was starting to feel pretty good about this. I almost felt happy. Now things have turned and I'm getting pissed. Everyone will have to put up with my grumpy *** now. We were so close to complete bliss which is rare from me.

NFL head coach jobs are hard to come by. I can't imagine Sparano would complain about coming back as a fall back option, especially after his team's peformance this year. This idea he's being wronged is way off. The man gets paid either way.
He obviously feels he would "better the buisness" by hiring a new coach, so just fire Sparano instead of letting him twist in the wind . It's bush league and Ross is classless in my eyes. We'll agree to disagree on this one.

This isn't Wall Street, it's the NFL. And every other owner past and present, fires the coach they have before offering the job to at least 3 other guys. Maybe it's not a coincidence that Gruden turned down a boatload of money from Ross and now (maybe) Harbaugh is doing the same. Maybe they don't like the way Ross operates either.
Oh to hell with being nice. At the end of the day, it's a business. And as a fan of this business, I want to win. I want excitement. I want something to root for. Do what you have to do.
The only business they are in is stealing peoples money and then getting taxpayer bailouts. Ross looks like a saint right now compared to these guys.
I concur, to a degree. I feel it was classless, however I am not heartbroken because this is how business is largely conducted in the real world. People want results and if you do not deliver you are out. No remorse, no class, out the door. He operates in a different fashion and it may or may not turn out a success...Lastly, we do not know all the details of what went on behind the scenes.
