Do you think it's possible to again trade down in the first round this year to get a 2nd round pick and a later 1st round pick? I'm pretty sure we could land Ingram (assuming he declares for the draft) later in the 1st round. If that happens, we immediately need to trade that 2nd round pick for Orton. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/01/04/broncos-will-want-second-round-pick-for-orton/ At the VERY LEAST he can bridge the gap til we find another hopeful to be the next Marino. And he is by no means a bad QB. I think these 2 moves, followed by an influx of offensive linemen will be key to being extremely competitive next year. Thoughts?
Well, considering that we seem to have two head coaches, we have ot make sure both are okay with this plan first...
I woudnt give a second draft pick for Orton. Maybe a third. I also want a speedster a runningback so I don't really want Ingram. That's just my opinion though
My thoughts on an offseason that could possibly get us into the playoffs in 2011: 1. Trade for Orton 2. Draft Ingram, TE, and OL, possibly Speed WR 3. Pick up Sproles and Mankins in FA, and possibly Speed WR.
Kyle Orton sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That would be robbery by the Broncos. The Dolphins need to draft a QB in round one.
Kyle Orton ?????????? Dude, if people are not happy with Henne then they will hate Orton, basically, he blows. Trade a 2nd round pick for a QB that has been crap on two different NFL teams ?
I would prefer Sproles due to the lack of an injury (Washington) and killing two birds with one stone: 1) capable RB atm and 2) KR/PR
Did you watch this season or conclude that because his name was not Manning, Brees, or Brady, he "blows?" Kyle Orton: 3653 yds passing, 20 TDs, 9 Ints, 87.5 QB Rating. Not advocating for him, but you should check things out prior to making far fetched claims.
one thing for sure we've got the right coach to find & develop that franchise QB got the right duo to fix the offense: Ireland & Harbaugh suddenly, the off-season hope
Kyle Orton the last 2 seasons: 2010: 13 Games - 20 TD / 9 INT / 3,600 Yards / Rating 87.5 / Comp % 58.8 2009: 16 Games - 21 TD / 12 INT / 3,800 Yards / Rating 86.8 / Comp % 62.1 He is 28 years old, and has gotten better every single season. These are not stats of someone who "blows." The only worrisome stat is this seasons 58.8 completion %. I don't think the guy is a savior, but unless we trade up significantly we will not get anyone in the draft that can step in and play, Orton could step in and start for us, and if Henne was to win the job, than hell we have a very good backup in Orton. Can you give me another solution to our QB dilemma?
I believe Washington has only had one injury(even though it was a torn acl) and was a helluva 3rd down back in ny. I also think he is one of the top 5 return men in the NFL.
