Honestly I hope this true, but I really doubt it.

 

Seriously, George...do you think Ross would have a meeting with Sparano, tell him he's NOT fired - and then proceed to make offers to Gruden, Cowher and Harbaugh? Does that really make any sense at all?

The likely scenario is that Sparano was told he was not going to be retained, but for whatever reason an announcement would be delayed.

i think the security escorting him out was a joke, unless we read different reports. it also included security beating him in the parking lot lol. if Schefter or La Canfora started this thread, thats one thing...............

I would prefer this to be the case.

But what good does it do for Ross not to announce it and let Tony continue coming to work? Ross has taken a PR bloodbath over this.
