I know everyone's tendency after this game is to be in love with Andrew Luck and trust me I've been calling him a #1 pick since mid-season last year so I love him...but I continue to be smitten with the man that architected the whole program and that is Jim Harbaugh.

I'm a little annoyed by his handling of the press afterward, I think he could have been more gracious about things, and I'm not a believer that people are ok to be a dick just because they can and because someone somewhere will find fault in the person you're being a dick to...but either way Harbaugh is a tremendous football coach and I want him in Miami.

That offense is brilliant. The defense plays unbelievably hard and they're so well coached, disciplined. I want this guy here. He was always destined to be a pro coach, IMO. As I said before, he's spent more time being a part of the NFL than he has being a college coach, so I don't get this criticism that he's a "college coach". When Saban came here he'd spent I think literally 10 times as many years in college as he'd spent being part of the NFL. Yes, being a player in the NFL counts, absolutely it counts, I don't know what would possess anyone to think it doesn't count, as they say it doesn't count one moment and the next clamor over Zach Thomas as our LBs Coach or Chad Pennington as our QBs Coach or Offensive Coordinator. It counts! So does the fact that Harbaugh's FIRST instinct was to get his start as an assistant in the NFL for two years, moving from offensive assistant up to QBs Coach, before he went off to college in order to take a job as a Head Coach. He's never been a college assistant. He went to college because he wanted to get busy being in charge of a program. He really wanted the Michigan job straight away after he was done with the Raiders, but Michigan snubbed him and so he took over San Diego and has worked his way up.

I have to say if I'm Stephen Ross, I'm making a HARD play for this guy. Sparano was never an inspired choice as Head Coach. Never. He wasn't even deserving. He was 'inspired' and 'deserving' because Bill Parcells said he was, that's the only reason. Well, Bill Parcells said the same about Al Groh. To me, Jim Harbaugh is an inspired choice, a guy that has EARNED his shot, doesn't have to be handed it by some guy he happened to work for...and I want the guy here.

CK, you are not getting that guy here. I want him too, but events and his history have conspired against us.

he is too perfect a fit in Meeeechagan and with the 49ers.

Perhaps. But the attempt needs to be made. And not a half-hearted attempt, either.

I agree with you except how he handled the media! He absolutely did the right thing, he is on a stage celebrating winning a Bowl game with his team, staff, fans, and family. The first question ask is when are you leaving them. Then in the post game presser first question asked is samething. Minutes later same question worded differently. All this after they were told several times he wasn't going to talk about it! The media in this country as a whole are intrusive, pompous, arrogant, pricks and need to be kept check! So if they are dumb enough to ask a intense guy such as Harrbaugh the very question he told them not to several times well he has every right to shut them down!

Disappointed to see only 4 carries from Ryan Williams. I guess you can't really give it to your #2 RB that much, when you have 3 RBs capable of carrying the ball, you are down almost the entire game, and Williams is still battling a hamstring injury.

    I still want him badly!

That offense doesn't work the same way without Marecic. I came away feeling that he's a major contributor to their success. They start out pounding the ball with lots of short high percentage passes mixed in. Then as the ground game softens up the defense, he exploits them up top. Owen's key blocks on LBs facilitate their entire offense to open up IMO.
