I was thinking the same thing, some of these mock drafts have him going in round 5 while pat develine from dealware is going in the 2nd.

Not bargin franchise, just a cheap roll of the dice in the 4th. We don't have the capital to reach for a 1st rd qb but hit the ol & wr hard then roll the dice on a dalton

Forget Andy Dalton, Have You Guys Seen Greg McElroy Today! Greg McElroy Threw a Beatiful Block on a Safety on An End Around. This Guys a Winner. Id Be Happy If We Picked Him Up

I saw him stretch the field also, but I looked up his scouting report and it says he is listed at 6-3 but is really only about 6-1 3/4.This is probally what is keeping him down on the mock draft boards.

And We Also have A Pretty Good Supporting Cast Ourself With Marshall , Bess and Fasano. And with Mock Drafts Saying that We Might Pick Up Ingram In the First Round It Makes things Seem much better Right?

Oh no, its bowl season, and our season is in the crapper, so its time to name every QB playing well in a bowl game and claim he should be our saviour

I personally don't feel like theres anyone thats a "franchise qb" coming out in this draft, possibly luck, but a big gamble with any of them. There could be alot of developmental guys there, but we, as a fanbase don't have the patience for that.

I think Andy Dalton deserve some consideration..With how important the QB position is, I like how Dalton has raised the level of his play every year along with his program, a program that had not enjoyed such sucesses, and, I like the way he throws a football, it's pure....hmmm, Team thing or QB thing? thats a pretty big jump in recognition.. real Good leadership skills...need to see how tall he is at the combine..

I want his bud tank as well. That boy is bad.

It's hard for people to take your posts serious when you say you "don't feel like theres anyone thats a "franchise qb" coming out in this draft"...

Luck is one of the better QB prospects to come out in a long time. He's a Bradford without the injury worries. He's a big big big time prospect. There's no way around it

Too bad, I always wanted Rivers in Miami because I felt he was a Marino Clone. Looks like I'm Partially right.

And too bad Tebow has taken off in Denver, he would have been cool.

Is Troy Aikman coming out of retirement to play with the Phins yet?

I was not thinking of him as the saviour, just a replacement for Thiggy, we need to draft a QB, we are likely to loose him to FA, I would rather see the team take a shot at a young sleeper for cheap rather than anouther retread veteran...I like Dalton for the price as a young Back Up or that kid from Green Bay that came in for A Rodgers, forget his name but he has 2 or 3 years in the league, played for LSU, I just dont know his availability.

Luck or Mallet? Are they worth the Mortgage on the future drafts?

Bro, I've got more serious posts on this site than you have as a total post count. Relax.

Like I said, Luck is about it, but he's still not a sure thing. After him, there's really nobody that you can point at in this draft IMO and say: "him, right there, he's franchise QB material". Somebody may pan out to be one, it always happens, but to think about trading the farm for any one of these guys, is just not a smart idea in my opinion.

Congrats, you have enough time to post 8900 posts...

what does that have to do with me?

BTW you said possibly Luck, not Luck is about it. 2 completely different things. Also, there has never been a prospect that is the sure thing. so great insight there.

We have no chance at getting Luck anyway, so it's kinda irrelevant. But I'm curious, how many Stanford games have you seen this year? What'd you think of him?

I hate to admit it because I feel henne is going is a bust but he is right.Luck is it and we don't have the ammunition to get him.

I agree, we dont have a chance. I never said we did, I was just commenting on someone proclaiming he didnt think there was a franchise QB in this draft...
