Quotean marino There is just no punch there no big play ability marino said,if your going to be a big time qb and a starter that has value you have to find a way to make everyone better. Quote:OJ mcduffie Chad has no sence of urgency. He is a checkdown guy.I don't think henne has it.No attitude and no moxie.
Excellent research and I love your links and sources to prove that they actually said that.... I found another analysis on Henne from an All-Time football great: Vince Lombardi: Henne reminds me a bit of Bart Starr, but he needs to develop more confidence in the pocket.
Proper etiquette when posting in a forum is to link the source.. Anyone can create a thread and claim whatever they want..
I don't know how to post a link, but it is on the palmbeachpost. The heading is sparano states case to keep his job.The article is from yesterday. I will post the link if you would be kind enough to tell me know how instead of accusing me of making this up.
Some have called me that.....I'd rather be called The Empress. Much more grand and worthy don't you think ?
Just copy and paste the actual link to the forum.. If there are specific paragraphs you want to quote, copy and paste them in the thread and highlight them.. Then hit the quote icon.
Unfortunately, they're just saying what everyone can see for themselves. I think if Henne were on a loaded team, with a great defense and great running game, he might work as a game manager. That's not us though.
Alright, the link is posted. Shall we continue an adult discussion now? My gosh people. This has got to be worse than the should we cut/keep John Beck discussions. I'd like to think both of those guys are qualified to evaluate an NFL QB.
I will take marinos and mcduffies opinion over some of these so called experts on this site. These guys know what they are seeing out there not pretending to know.
Dan Henning: To complete with the Heat this year, i figured we should get lots of Field Goals, since thats what basketball fans like!
If any QB were on a loaded team, with a great running game, and a great defense, he could win. jeesh.
Remember Marino's comments after that Tampa comeback last year? You would have thought Henne was the second coming. These things go up and down.
Last year marino thought this guy was taking the next step.A year later he has not taken enough strides for marino or mcduffie to believe him as that 2 min drill at the end of lions game will show.
Well hell now I am completely sold that Henne is horrible. In fact so much to the tune that he has no sense of urgency when in fact he was doing as well as he has done all season when we were in no huddle on Sunday. That being an offense which relies on urgency and tempo from the QB. When we are busy playing normal Henning ball he does look slow and after a decent play they slow it all down with the WC. The lack of urgency comes from the calls that are being made on the field not necessarily from the QB. Easy to see Marino doesn't want to stick his neck out on the line and disagree with the fan base. I welcome the Dolphins to cut Chad Henne and slip in a rookie into this scheme or even Tyler Thigpen cause that worked out so well the last time. Maybe even McNabb. It would be very interesting to see his sense of urgency when we are running the ball 10 times and throwing it 40. Maybe even Orton who tends to be a veteran interception machine. It is easy to pick quotes out of context on any player in the NFL but it is much more interesting to get a full evaluation which wasn't there at all. Even our favorite guy Tasker chimes in and pins the whole game on Henne. What about the defense giving up 27 points and the conservative nature of the offense after we got the lead. We played to lose again folks and then a WR falls down and it gets picked and no one can tackle the guy. Henne deserves some heat yes but this board and the fan base have gone overboard with the blame. So much so that people are posting quotes in a chopped up article that doesn't give the full story. Just another prime example of hot headed impatient Dolphin fans eating up the media witch hunt.
