I expected this weekly thread to be much more in the second half but, we keep going. Marshall had a good game with 10 catches for 102 yards. Ricky chimed in with 14 carries for 71 yards, behind a patchwork OL. Incognito looked VG at C. Henne played pretty good. The two picks were not his fault. The D stopped the run, once again.
Our 2 minute offense gained more than 5 yards and ALMOST got one last play off after an excellent check down throw. Chad Henne didn't have to worry about getting hit in overtime after our 2 minute drill failed again. Tony Sparano looked great doing his patented fist pump after our final FG to ice the game. Our challenge flag that was thrown ALMOST reversed the call. Our fans which have been used to losing at home got to experience another loss. Dan Henning survived another day.
I see that you are maintaining what this thread is all about. Must be a carry over of the Christmas spirit. Well done, and thanks for posting.
SB, you have reached a almost "Cool Hand Lukian" level of punishment absorbption, when even George Kennedy was quietly saying "stay down, stay dowwwn..."
LMAO my friend. However, I started this weekly deal months ago, some have enjoyed it, and I was not raised to stay down for anyone on something I started. Just my nature. I will see this through, and if any does not like it, I believe there are a few other threads for them to post on.
ricky is toast...Henne has serious flaws from top to bottom, and why the hell did it take 14 weeks to figure out incog at center..I think those issues are more factual than yours..lol
The team is validating my increasing powers of premonition as I swear I knew that Henne was going to throw that pick 6...
thanks for keeping this thread going. i can say that yesterday's game was the first one that just kicked me straight in the balls. dont agree with everything but i agree with the spirit even if i am not in the mood to add to it right now
Let me try to explain the reason for this thread. Everyone watches the news in some way, and it is always 90% bad news. Disasters, shootings, no jobs, etc. Fast forward to Dolphin forums. It's mostly about *****ing & moaning about players, coaches, drafts, signings, and everything they have done wrong. This was intended to be one little thread out of 100, where some got a break. They were able to just focus on some good stuff about their team for a minute or so. I do not see this as a bad thing, although some wish to "rain on the parade." Human nature, I guess.
When the parade is sludging through recycled feces and a nasty blizzard, it's hard to see any positives At one point of my Dolphins fandom I was exactly like you.. After watching this team fail since 1986, I'm no longer cheering the moral victories or minor improvements.. I can't stand Jerry Jones, but I'm going to agree with is simple statement after another Cowboys epic collapse - "I'm mad as hell and I know all of our fans are."
I have been dealing with the same since the 70's, and MANY agonizing defeats in the OB. After the Brownies loss, which IMO eliminated us, my wife saved our TV, and erased the replay to save it again. I share "some" of the same feelings of everyone here. However, I sometimes want to take a frakin break from all the bad stuff about our team, and take a look for some good stuff and/or silver linings. MANY seem to have a problem with that, and I just don't get it. All they have to do is STFU when it comes to this one little thread. How hard can that be? JMHO.
