Wow... so that was fun... in a crawling through barbed wire sort of way. For the record, it was windy... VERY windy. And the wind was blowing in on the flags at the top of the stadium one direction, and on the field in an opposite one... not sure what causes that, but boy that was confusing at first.

I haven't been to the stadium in some 15 years, so to finally be able to afford driving down and paying for tickets to a Dolphins game was awesome. Everything outside of the product on the field was great, and I'll be making a yearly habit out of it. It's sad that there is so much production value that goes into the game... tons of fanfare outside the team store, the stage with the live music, the food, the contests going on. All of that, and the team can't step up and beat the lowly Lions.

    Chad Henne...
I think I just watched the death of Chad Henne's career. Seeing it in person, I think I now have a better appreciation for how awful Chad is. In the opening series (I think, its all a blurred mess at this point) I watched him check down to the left side, when he had a wide open Ronnie Brown for an easy 7 yards, with no one around him (although it would have required him to get it over the d-lines heads... oh no!). The Play action passes were just so awful. I was obviously able to see this from watching the game on TV in the past, but it was glaring to me watching it in person. Oh and that pass play to Bess that was challenged... that should have been picked off, and just like people say some of his INTs don't count because they weren't his fault, this was a TD that was not his fault... all on Bess.

I just don't know what is wrong with this guy. You watch him play 3 quarters of great, mistake free football (barring the first series), and then all of the sudden it's like he got news someone shot his dog, and just wants to get off the field. I mean some of those passes to Brandon Marshall were just awesome to watch... Speaking of, Brandon Marshall is just awesome to watch live.

    The Defense...
Outside of a few flaws held up its end of the bargain. Paul Soliai is just turning into a beast. Watching him throw guys down with one arm is just sick. Some of those missed ints, I'm not sure how they looked on TV, but they weren't nearly as close as some of the people standing next to me thought they were. I think there was only one out of the whole day where I thought man... he should have had that (I think it went past one defender, bounced off the receiver, and the other defender tried to make a play on it, again, jumbled mess).

    Special Teams...
I thought overall our performance on Special teams was pretty great. The wind played a big part in this, as most of the time we were kicking into it, and they were kicking against it.

    The Offensive Play-calling...
My... god... I knew the 3rd and 20 playcalls were bad before. But staring down 20 yards, in person, and watching how the defense is lining up against it really just makes it all the more head scratching. Or the play action passes that Henne can't sell on 3rd and 10. I just don't get it, because at other times the design of the plays worked really well, and seemed to get Marshall in good coverage a few times. It's scary though, because I'm watching Henne call the kill, and while I'm not an X's and O's guy, it just seems to me like the defense has the jump on the play after that.

    Time Management...
One of two things happened on the final drive. Either the offense quit, or they were exhausted and the strength and conditioning coach needs to be fired. Our two minute offense is pathetic.

And lastly, as for our fans...
On the last drive Bess fair caught the punt on the 9 I think it was... The offense marched onto the field needing 7 points to tie the game and right the ship. Chad Henne gets into the huddle. And coming from the endzone seating behind him you hear "Hen-ne sucks... Hen-ne Sucks... Hen-ne Sucks..." **** Everything about that. I don't care if you think Chad Henne is the Antichrist. When he's about to run a two minute offense to potentially tie the game, give him some support, help him rally back. We've got a good 7 months coming up that you can shout that until your lungs are blue. But for 3 hours just stfu and support your team.

Anyways, thats my thoughts from the game a day later after getting to watch that steaming pile of poo on the field. For anyone who questions going, even for this product, it's worth it. I plan to make it a yearly thing myself. Hopefully the team puts something on the field worth all the fanfare that's done outside the gates.

What blew my mind is it wasn't just a few people... it echoed through the entire stadium. I was mid field upper deck, and I heard, and could make it out as clear as day. I'm absolutely positive he was hearing it too.

I'm no longer backing Henne like I have much of the season, but that's pathetic display against him. Pathetic

Agree with all the above. I'll defend anyone who chooses to boo, but calling out garbage like that from the stands at an individual player is beyond disgusting.

Charles Davis mentioned after our 3rd and Goal from 10 and we ran it up the gut "they need to let Henne at least TRY to make the next step" ... inferring that they need to let him throw it to the end zone.

How much of that is on Henne not throwing it there or the calls not being designed to go there is up for debate...but running it right at Suh there shows they were playing for the FG and 10 point lead, and it wasn't enough.

Chad Henne has lost his last 9 starts at home in despicable fashion, the fans have continued to come out and support the team, that stadium was pretty packed for what they have had to endure, was it wrong when they started booing, yes, but geez man, those fans have been kicked in the balls and gut more times at home then any other professional franchise in the past 3 years, except for maybe a couple teams..1 and 7 3 years ago, 1 and 7 this year..the pent op emotion came out..

Iam not blaming any fans for their emotional outburst...they were there to support and kept their mouth shut for a long time..

The last 3 games at home completely destroy the defense of not booing a home team....they deserved it.

The bigger problem is the stadium itself...''No life'' is in the heads of this team...My theory on the lack of connection has become apparent..

This is a quote by Ybell that i have heard at different points and times for over 20 years especially this year.......''On defense, we played with no emotion''....

I would be fine with Booing, completely fine with it. This team deserves it.

I completely understand being upset... and honestly wouldn't have cared as much if it was when the defense was on the field, or after the game, or immediately after Henne threw the pick...

But no, they waited for the offense to get back on the field, trying to make the game a tie game.

They basically for that last 2 minutes gave the Lions home field advantage. I don't care how upset someone is at the game, no one who deserves the label of fan should ever root against their team, or try to set their team up for a loss.

Agree to disagree I guess, but I just think that sort of action has a time and a place, and the 2 minute drill is the absolute worst time to do it.

I agree, that other than Detroit, Oakland or St. Louis, this fanbase has been completely mistreated by its organization. I guess they have tried their best, but to sit back and watch other organizations (KC & Atlanta the most glaring examples) pass us by it makes it really tough to stick by your team and keep your mouth shut. Henne, instead of being mad at the fans, should look at the situation. He gets paid to go to these games, and play in them. And he gets paid HANDSOMELY ! We fans, most of us don't make near the kind of money that football players make. Season tickets are a significant investment, especially if you have 2 or more season tickets. Its not been like they lose games 41-38 every week, and we are entertained. They lose games like 17-14, or 13-10 in OT more often than not. We only scored over 20 points in like 5 of our games this season. Most teams AVERAGE in the 20's per game ! Its a BORING & LOSING product. The home team has lost 9 of its last 10 games at home, and 15 of the last 18 I believe. Its been surprising that it took this long to hear (especially in Miami) this chant.
