That is about as sad as it can get. I thought I felt awful in 2007. This may be worse than that.

At least in 2007, we knew we were terrible. This year was like a slap in the face to us fans.

It is a slap to us. Ross is going to see a dramatic loss in season tickets next year. Of course the fans will be blamed. Its our fault the Dolphins suck, the coaches suck and that there is no life at the Stadium.

Look on the bright side, we just moved up in the draft. If the Pats play their starters next week we could be be picking in the top 12 again .

I haven't checked yet, but I know our max (without factoring SoS) draft position after last night's game was #8.

Edit: looks like 10th is our max right now.

Yeah but is it high enough to get Mallet ? That is all I want to hear. Can you imagine what will happen if Sparano is retained, and with their 1st pick, they take a LB or CB ? Oh my god, it will be the apocalypse on this board.

I'd rather Von Miller, Ayers, Peterson, or Amukamara than Mallet.

I'd support Mallet if we took him, but much like when we drafted Henne I wouldn't exactly be excited for a while.

Mallet, Newton, any other QB may excite the fans, but I don't see any QB in the draft who can come in here and lead the team right away. I'd rather take an OLB who can get pressure opposite Wake, a DB who can upgrade Sean Smith, and of course we are in sore need of playmakers on offense.

Yea, AJ Green or Justin Blackmon please. I'd be ok with Julio Jones or Ingram too.

I'd be excited for a Qb who has a head for the position...and has some freaking fight in him. Henne looked like he could give two craps at the end.

I have been supportive of Henne but I have to admit he has left a lot of questions and doubts in my mind. There may not be and absolute prospects in this coming in the draft but a quarterback may be the one thing that can turn this team around. The logical thing to do would be to take the best prospect available who has the best chance of succeeding. There may not be a sure thing but it may take a 1st round coice to get as close as possible. Just MO of course.

It's pretty obvious to me.....our next QB has to wear #14.
    12 was a SB winner
13 was always the best QB playing
14 is the next natural step. I'll start looking for college kids wearing that number only. #7 is only half a NFL QB. The bad half.

I'd rather see the OL fixed, so maybe we can get a trade down, recoup a second rounder, and get the best Center left late in the first round? Then use that second to get the best remaining pass catching TE?

Other than Luck, who quite probably won't be coming out, I'm not a fan of any of the other QB prospects. If this was year one or even year two of the Ireland/Sparano regime? Then I'd be okay with taking a chance on a QB to develop. Going into year four though? Too late for them to start over.

Try going 0-16. Believe it or not guys, but dolphins fans and lions fans are sort of in the same boat this year. Both parties expected to do MUCH better only to be disappointed. We both had the same ref screw us on a crucial call (ours was the Johnson catch Wk 1 and yours was that bogus handling of that PIT fumble). We could both easily have another 3-6 wins and we've also had our share of games with poor management. Believe me, I know how frustrating it can be to watch your teams play scared or lose games to poor officiating. It sucks.

I know you guys are disappointed, but at least you've been to the playoffs in the last 10 years. At least you've won your division since 1995. At least you'ven't gone 0-16. At least you haven't lost EVERY road game for three years in a row twice in the same decade. You guys have an extremely talented team that I really enjoy watching and even though the Lions won today, I thought it was an entertaining game either way.

I just want playmakers. Outside of Cameron Wake, our team is so boring to watch. I'm not high on Mallet and we don't have a chance at Luck unless we mortgage our draft (I think he'll be amazing but still that concerns me). I don't like Henne and I wouldn't be against bringing in McNabb's corpse for competition next season. Hopefully the 2012 draft will be richer in QBs.

I also wouldn't mind going after Christian Ponder in the 2nd or 3rd round as a project. I like his skillset.

    We don't have a 2nd round pick.

I'm all for competition for Henne, but if anything it should not be from the draft.

It's sad when having a high draft pick is the bright side.

We paid all that money to Marshall, we need to get him a very good QB. Henne is not it.
