Another mind-numbingly boring game (as was ours), but a nice win nonetheless. Something to build upon next year for sure. Chad Henne and Mark Sanchez are BEYOND TERRIBLE...seriously, they suck something awful. That being said, Cameron Wake is a m'fing STUD...good find Props to Brandon Fields too. If Miami finds a QB they'll be dangerous next year.
Wait a minute the press said that the Sanchize is the 2nd coming. Congrats on your win today too. It was good for my football pool.
With our injuries and the weather conditions being what they were (downpour), I actually didn't find the game boring at all. I was pleased with our execution for the most part. It wasn't a sloppy game for us. Our offense was generally started inside our own 15 and our defense didn't get the same benefit, though Fields was out of his mind today. Congrats to the Bills as well.
It was a good defensive battle no doubt, but there were a plethora of missed throws and dropped passes. No matter though, a win's a win. The Fins look like a lock for 9-7.
This game had to be boring for anyone other than a phin or jest fan. But yeah, i was on the edge of my seat down the stretch. It was the type of win where we weren't better, we just sucked less. But the defense and specials came together very nicely. With Henne in flux, and the right side of our line out...eh, i don't know.
The Browns game and Steelers game will come back to haunt the Dolphins. Win one of those games and you would own the Tiebreaker on the Jets. Whatever, he's pretty much right, Dolphins need a QB anyway. Don't trust Henne, he seems like he'll make a good backup. And I think they might need a new starting RB that has speed with Ricky and Cobbs as backups, but props to the Run game for getting 100 yards on the Jets great Run Defense with absolutely no help, and with no Vernon Carey. We better give them the ball against Buffalo. And hey Bills, your team can actually help Miami if they beat the Jets. I'm assuming the Jets will lose to Steelers and possibly Bears. I still don't see Miami winning out unless Patriots rest their starters, which is possible. Dolphins need to win a tough home game though, Bills don't go down easy.
Carolina is not going to win 2 games...and Jimmy Clausen has shown absolutely no upside (he is from Notre Dame, so that's not surprising).
I know a win is a win and all that, but IMHO, it was a very sloppy game for our offense. Ronnie fumbled. Henne fumbled, and a crucial fumble at that which cost us 3 very important points in that ballgame. There were dropped passes, poor throws, etc. To call it not a sloppy game is a little bit of revisionist history I think.
Certainly not boring to me. I love me some defense. I was actually more nervous in the 2nd half of the game then I've been in a while. It got to the point in the 4th quarter where I could barely stand up. Of course, I got some energy to do so when I knew it was going to be do or die on the final possession. Our defense is dominating.
