Time 4:15 pm Network CBS Announcers Dan Fouts and Ian Eagle Weather 51 degrees (which is a miscat, imho we are looking at mid 40's) 19 mph winds Out: Dolphins: Brian Hartline, Vernon Carey Jets: James Idhedigbo Latest line Jets -6 Well, battle of two struggling Qb's coming into bounce back games against top 8 defenses, both Qb's typically play well after playing poorly the prior game. http://the506.com/sports/?cat=14 Bad news is, this game is only going to be aired in Florida and the Northeast it is second fiddle to the Pats v Bears.
Well, this may be one game were I listen to the announcers as a I am interested in what Dan Fouts has to say about Henne and Sanchez's play at Qb.
I've got a bad feeling about this one. The Jets are playing at home after coming off a bit loss to the Patriots. They'll be ready to play. We have inconsistent offense, a mediocre running game, and we traveled a day early, throwing us off. Hopefully I'm just being a Negative Nancy, but I feel like the Jets win this one going away. We'll see what happens tomorrow.
The one thing I've learned is to not expect the expected with this team so I'm hoping for a good game with a better outcome
I am actually less focused on the scoreboard at this point than on the progress of Henne (and the playcalling of Henning). I want to see if Henne performs better against zone looks, and if he regresses at all in the things that HAVE improved. Looking for two steps forward one step back, at least, from Henne. If the Jets play man coverage, I'll be pissed. We already know Henne is competent vs. man coverage. Want to learn more about Henne. Want to see if Ronnie or Ricky show enough leg to convince us of their dependability next season. This will be a hard rush defense for them to face... if Henning gives them the touches, I want to see them prove they have enough left in the tank to be worth extending. Want to see Brandon Marshall's attitude on the field. Want to see if Henning is stubborn enough to ignore everything the Pats did that worked. lol. Want to see if Merling is worth anything more than a locker-space. That's it. If we win, bonus. I am more concerned that the future of the entire franchise looks shaky if Henne can't progress.
***weather report*** Looks like it might hit the 40's . http://forecast.weather.gov/MapClic...rd&state=NJ&site=OKX&lat=40.8199&lon=-74.1071
I`ll be heading out to the Meadowlands in a few hours to see the game. Weather here sucks right now with heavy rain. Forecast calls for the rain to let up a bit later with high winds by this evening. But,I`ll be at the game none the less with all my Dolphins garb rooting for our Fins. Oh,and also to remind any Jets fan within earshot how much their team really sucks. Its an annual ritual that I thouroughly enjoy.
Well I attended the game down South and I am hoping for a few things 1) Hold Brad Smith to short returns, those long returns reaqlly hurt us wk3 2) Our Defense shows up, I think they played okay considering the firld position last meeting but they need to reall show up and force pressures and Force mark Sanchez to come off huis first read. Every pass he has that quick slant or post but if we can have him pull it down, he will make mistakes 3) Somehow , someway, Marshall has a TD
Which means Cobbs, Fasano, Ricky, Ronnie, M&M and Wallace all have to step up today in the passing game. Hopefully the Robot has his arm cannon back in batter for this one as Sanchez doesn't really have the arm to drive the ball in 20 mph winds, Henne SHOULD.
This 4:15 start is a bummer Ozman.. 30 mph winds at Soldier Field and cold, patsies could be tripped up today.
Does anyone else think that Marshall's ability to play is in jeopardy ?? If the hammy is still bad, and they are playing in windy, rainy, miserable weather does that change the approach that Sparano takes in whether to play or not play Marshall ??
The wind and rain should take out MVP Dan Carpenter. Today is not the day to be settling for FGs unless neither team can score. They better think of a good gameplan, and the defense better try and hold onto those balls if they come their way. We need anything we can get. They are putting Revis on Bess apparently.
I'd think so unless he can keep that darned thing warm. We just saw what happened to Kyle Rudolph who played with it hampering him all year. Now he finally tore it away from the bone and needs surgery & 6 months recovery. But if he's out, we don't stand a chance with Bess & 2 undrafted rookies. Put Cromartie on Wallace. Revis on Bess..... and a 1st round pick on an undrafted rookie. Doesn't look like a fair fight to me.
Bess believes that Revis is the best corner in the game...one time I watched revis cover bess half speed..it was pretty funny, hopefully bess has learned some tricks to get some seperation.
I'm not giving up on the season yet but this is a must win obviously. And there's no game I want to win more than this one against the damn Jets in their place. I am pumped up for this one. LET'S GO DOLPHINS!!!!!!!!!!
great thing about football is you have to play the game 11 of them against 11 of us, same rules, same field, same football on any given day, anyone can step or down, anything can happen may Miami take it to them & pull this one off
We all hate the Jets in my house. Even the kitty cats. I stole it from a site where these dudes make all kinds of gifs. He loves cats and has about 20 different cat gifs.
