I shake my head at all the people who supported Henne, but now are giving up on him based on this one game. I mean come one now. Yes, he played poorly but he's been inconsistent all year. If he continues like this the rest of the season then I will understand giving up on him.

I gave up on the possibility to give a young QB a chance to succeed weeks ago. Henne took the fall then and no different tonight. Henning is no good for Henne. That was established long ago. Reinforced today.

The season is over. I wish I didn't care.

As long as he has a strong arm, he'll be on A roster. I don't think he is a sterter in the NFL.

henne supporters are always trying to blame someone else for his poor performance. henne missed what 90% of other Qbs would hit for a TD with a wide open Hartline. You can't blame Henning for that. Last year it was we needed Marshall. Got him, now it's something else. Next year it will be the same thing. One post even pointed fingers at Carrol for dropping an INT.

I was in Henne's camp until about three weeks ago myself. AND I hope they get rid of Henning too.

Todays game was unbearable. 2 chicken **** teams, scared to play. The lucky team won.
I feel bad for our defense and Nolan. They're a good unit. If we had an offense and offensive system worth a ****, we'd be play-off bound.

I'd say our defensive backs need to take catching lessons, but its really not their fault. Nolan Carrol should be picking 6 for a 30-10 victory...not to be our lone shot at salvation.

Henne killed us today. It's tempting to bump last weeks thread, and all the over-reaction from whippin up on the Raiders. He completely killed us and our play-off chances today. The Hartline pick was horrific. He got out-gunned by Jake Delhomme. That hurts to say.

Henne has a shot at redemption next week at the Jests. Play big vs them, and we'll maybe overlook killing our play-off hopes today. He just needed to be average today, and we could've won.

Is Henning (who I agree should be fired) the one underthrowing passes all day? Or throwing bad picks at the worst possible time, 2 out of 3 picks today were pure Henne. The guy is a backup QB in this league, the fact that people here tried to say he was better than Sanchez is laughable. We are one of the laughing stocks of the league and will continue to be until we have a real QB who can lead this team on a victory drive, and I know people will call me a bad fan yada yada yada...at the end of the day I am right and after 3 decades of watching this **** I'm ****ing fed up.

just my feeling: Henne is, at the moment, a very limited player, basically its main problem is consistency, he is streaky and has pooooooooor pocket awareness.-....

no doubt about that.... so, I want to be clear: I am not defending Henne or giving him any exscuse for the ***** performance, yesterday....

but as a fan, I can live with the mistake of a young QB, I can also understand he just is not that good, I mean... not every QB in this league is an ACE, so.... it happens: our QB is likely just a back-up in the NFL.

it sucks, but I can live with that....

what make me really crazy is watching a run on our first play on a 2 minute drill at the end of the game.
that make me wish to turn off the TV, I just can not bear that....

I am not saying this is the reason we lost, I want to be clear....just sharing a feeling...I HATE see this kind of things almost EVERY week.....

    peace....

    ps- sorry for the English

Umm... no. If you're going to call a run on first down to start the 2 minute drill, you've already decided in my opinion that you aren't trying to drive the field and have a chance to score. Its just stupidity. I said it to myself when watching the damn game. Even in the game thread here. Its just stupid. Why then try and force the issue after no gain, with passing from there on out. It just doesn't make sense.

    get over it.
Henning doesn't throw the interceptions or miss open receivers or make bad decisions in coverage.
it is what it is, more excuses

I really thought after the first drive of the third quarter, if henne didn't do something, Sparano would replace him at QB.

side bar: why should anyone in dolfandom eat Crow?
the miserable season rests squarely on the shoulders of the parcellian experiment @ coaching gone bad,
Sparano & his insistence on a mediocre talent @ QB to carry the team @ any cost.
(any farm wife knows: can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear)
they should eat Crow, then both simply excuse themselves from the table

Andrew Luck would be a good thing. you pay for quality, we'd probably have to move up to get him

True, Henning doesn't. However its his system. Its his system that doesn't fit our players. Its been well discussed. The coaches are supposed to be able to adapt their systems to fit their players strengths. We don't. We don't adapt on offense like we do on Defense with Mike Nolan. You saw the browns come out after halftime and march downfield and score. Then you saw them get shut right down again, why? Because Mike Nolan is a good coach, and made the necessary adjustments to stay a step ahead of the Browns. Today, you saw the same offense, over, and over, and over. Even when it was clear it wasnt working. It was a shell of what we saw against Oakland too. Where was the use of Cobbs, some crossing routes, quick short passes to get the offense into rhythm like we saw against oakland. When it was clear on offense that things weren't working, where was the change? It was non existant. As it has all year. That's a problem. If you aren't going to give players a chance to suceed, they wont.

    Friend Sick:
    1) yes, that is exactly what I think & have been saying since game four about Sparano & Henne
    2) no fan should eat Crow. they have likes & dislikes, opinions. they are not the decision makers that drove this season into the ground.

It's not in the ground. It is mediocrity. And that's the waste.
