http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/12/02/1952824/henne-finds-confidence-during.html This may have been posted but this was good:
i think part of his success was the man covergae we were facing. i dont think he's going to be able to figure out the zone coverages as well as we would like before the season ends this year but it was clear that he was more aggressive last week and thats an excellent sign going forward. the key will be how he reacts to zone. the good thing about cleveland is i expect alot of man agin this week so he should have another solid week.
Henne is draft pick bait send his *** packign this offseason and get us someone a little more consistent. Agianst the browns (22nd in the nfl yards allowed per game) he managed to only get 174 yards and managed to throw 3 picks. Yea he played nice last week but this is a new week and inconsistency gets you a nice spot on the bench somewhere in the CFL not here and definately not on the Dolphins we deserve better than this. Henne is just another derek anderson... all heart n soul with 0 success.
Padre this game makes me sick, Ive been a Dolphin fan for my whole life, maybe Im spoiled but Dan was so good, why are we paying for it now ? You watch the mexican on the jets with no arm and he finds a way..... Henne with a rocket cant even find the side of a barn... im really bummed
So, you're comparing him to Derek Anderson... Anderson at least had a great year, but I assume you are not comparing him to that version of DA, but rather the version of DA that is with the cards now. So essentially you say Henne sucks, but he's trade bait? If he's that bad, who's really going to give us anything??
look now is not the time ok, its called begrudging respect, at least your guy has balls back there unlike henne, happy now?????????????
No, not yet 23, Henne had a crappy game no doubt he should not be cast overboard just yet, maybe kicked in the nuts by fans, but not yet.
I hate to agree with a jets fan but yeah from what I've seen arm strength is not an issue with Sanchez. He goes down the field pretty well. He probably gets a TD with that play to Hartline. At the very least a completion.
agree. although there is no doubt he played like crap today, we have to go into 2011 with the idea of developing him further. basically this offseason should be all about learning how to read and defeat cover 2 for the guy. i wouldnt spend more than 20% of my time on anything else with him. thats his achilles heel and if he's going to be successful which means we will be successful he has to learn how to defeat it
Friend brandon27: question not my loyalty to the franchise. I was hoping against hope that Henne would step up & win the game but he didn't. I called this guy a bust in game four & held to my conviction throughout the season against much criticism & personal attack, however, it appears that I was unfortunately right. I've been a loyal dolphin fan longer than you have been on earth. what I wanted I didn't get: the play-offs, the SuperBowl, a Franchise QB. think about it. 2010 has been an offensive tragedy.
look henne has a cannon, i know that, but he cant see open recievers, hartline was so open I could have hit him. We have the Monster one of the 3 best WR in football and he was supposed to be Just what Heiney needed, instead Marshal was criminally underused..... When do we admit that the kid just makes bad decisions? I mean that wasnt Polamalau or Deangelo hall back there today
Posted by Padre31 on 12-2-2010: Is someone else using your screen name? I cant figure it out. Just once I's like for you to admit you're wrong instead of playing results and trying in vain to sound like you know what you're talking about. Rant over.
padre likes to think the best about everyone, now is not the time man give it a rest He's like the rest of us trying to look for positives in the kid hoping Henne isnt a waste pointing fingers at each other wont help him be a better QB I know youre upset just like I am, its ok but now isnt the time
Though I agree with your statement, the part that I struggle with is the fact that we know he struggles against cover 2, so at what point are the coaches going to step in, and COACH the kid, help him through these struggles, instead of just throwing him out there and calling plays? We've obviously yet to do that since his struggles against cover 2 continue, and fail to get better, so... yet again it makes me wonder why are things not happening with coaching the kid up. Is Lee that bad with developing QB's, what exactly is he coaching Henne to do? What is Henning doing to help out? Sure we're running the ball a bit more, but then what has sparano done? Aside from trying to bench him? I'm sure things are going on behind the scenes that we dont know about, but there's no signs of it, that's what worries me.
