Spo is not Mike Brown..and THIS is not the Cleveland Cavs. This is the Miami Heat. You have an issue with equivalency. Must be years as a Knicks fan. Must be tough.

Winning cures any and all ills. Do that and you'll be fine. Do it this year instead of boasting how great you'll be in the future.

Do you really think they're going to win right away? It would be counterproductive. They need to give people the impression that they aren't winning just because they put together three of the best players in the league.

Cleveland is fired up for Thursday. Over under on LeBron's stat line? I say he scores at least 43. His record in the Q is in the 50's I believe so I have to imagine that is his goal.

Lebron will NOT score in the 40's unless he does it on his own.

I say he goes for 26 and gets a triple double. I think Wade goes off. and Mo Williams will find a way to go nuts on us again. (He owns the Heat)

All I want is another Wade dunk on Side Show bob.

    Its about credibility.

If the Heat win 65 games and a title, all you'll hear is "they stacked the deck"

Now that argument is worthless. If/when this team wins, people won't be able to use that excuse.

No. That is YOUR narrative for Lebron James since you are a gilted lover that was never loved. You somehow think he cheated on you although he never liked you.

Tread lightly over the Knicks? LOL. Just LOL.

I am older than you young man.

The Celtics that lost to the Cavs without Lebron, Toronto without Bosh and OKC without Durant? Oh...those guys are doomed.

The Lakers that lost to Indiana? Blew a 24 point lead to Minnesota? Blew a massive lead to Utah? The team that has Gasol complaining about too many minutes? lamar Odom getting booed at home? Failed to sellout a game earlier this year? Yeah..those guys are done too.

I guess you TWO don't get the fact that we are guaranteed to get the last laugh. It's as if you don't care how silly you are eventually going to look.

It's going to be tough for the Heat to get to the ECF. I dont think Mike Miller coming back from injury is gonna change anything. The heat are at the bottom of the barrell when it comes to point in the paint. Bosh is soft and looks like a Small Forward. Why the hell is Eddie House taking the last shot in games. I've seen that twice. Road to the finals in the East goes through Boston and Orlando not Miami.

Sec - this is an honest question - how do you see the Heat shoring up the issues of stopping PGs and big men underneath? I have no doubt that the offense will click at some point - and that Mike Miller will help - but what is going to happen that they are suddenly going to have an answer on the defensive end?

But lead the league in FT attempts and is the only team in the NBA at 10-8 no less in the top 4 in both Offensive and Defensive efficiency. I can play the stats game all day too.

Your post is more wishful thinking. All these "dismissals" sound more and more like a prayer every day.

I don't see it - I think you'll see a lot of "heat check" long jumpers / threes from LeBron early on and if he is hitting, he won't let up all game.

Also have to imagine they'll run quite a few plays for him off the bat to get him in a rythm and to shake out the nerves.

The Heat are ranked 6th in the league in opponents ppg and 8th in opp shooting percentage. They do have issues that need to be fixed on the defensive end, but they aren't bad on defense, and if/when they improve on offense, that should help to improve their defense. The missed shots and turnovers especially give other teams fast break opportunities in which the Heat aren't able to set up their defense . In fact in the recent losing streak it really wasn't so much the point guards or the big men that were killing the Heat, though they did hurt, it was the fact Wade forgot how to play defense and gave up season/career highs to middling players.

They are having issues learning the defensive system......YET they are ahead of the suffocating greatest defensive team of all-time Celtics (heavy sarcasm) in damn near every category.

They are also #3 in points per possession which is the stat that matters most..and are hugging yet another top 5 defensive finish. The system will eventually take over as they learn it.

Their overall rank so far is 7th in the NBA. Boston is 8th BTW....

    They are.

The line before the season was what it was.

The line has adjusted since..and will adjust again.

The Heat was 5-1 to win it all in 2006. When they were 11-10, they were at 15-1 and then slowly adjusted to the point where the were 3-1 before the playoffs started.

The preseason favorites that year? Heat, Mavs, Spurs, Suns, Pistons. They nailed the final four.

BTW Adam..Vegas has Not dropped them behind the Celtics.

Bodog uses the proxy from the MGM line of casinos and they still have the Heat as the second choice behind the Lakers.

The line opened with the heat as a slight favorite over the Lakers...then the money came in on the Lakers and it hasn't changed since.

5-2 is okay...but still not juicy enough to take.

Check your stats again. Your 7th in offensive efficiency and falling fast. Defense your tied for 4th but only .3 away from being in 9th. No dismissals here. In 20 games you know how good your team is. The Heat are .500 basketball team and i believe have only won 1 game against an opponent with a winning record. Seems like miami heat fans are praying more and more these days.

That was before yesterday's game and it's 48% shooting and point and a half per possession.

    Re-compute.

I can play that game as well...they are .7 away from 4th in offense and after that game last night will probably be back in the top 4.

    BTW..it is .3 from 8th...but .4 from 3rd and 1 point from #1.

    See how easy that is?

The Knicks don't stand a chance in that game. D-Wade LOVES the Garden..and we all know what Bron thinks of that place.

D'Antoni is still your coach right? Then that one is in the bag.

Sure...what sig do you want to me to put on, if the Heat plane is delayed and they can't get to the game on time and are forced to forfeit? Bernard King? Charlie Ward? Charles Smith? Name it.

Not really surprising that they don't have the best record at this point in the season, its going to take a minute for team with this many new faces to get on track I don't care who they are. Still looking at the East, the Hawks and Bulls are above them....who gives a crap neither of those teams are beating the Heat in the playoffs. Its the Heat, Celtics and Magic, thats it. The Heat just need to avoid being so low that they play the Magic or Celts early in the playoffs and I don't see that being a problem.

it goes deeper than that. They have lost three in a row! Kobe *****ed out Artest on the court after the game! Gasol and Odom played ridiculous minutes and both said that they are playing too many minutes and they lack depth right now! (questioning the GM and coach)

You gotta think that Phil Jackson is on the hot seat and the ship is sinking. it is over for the Lakers. They are only 2.5 games ahead of the lowly Heat...WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TOO!

I don't, no. Not this year as I've said I don't think they have a good enough team yet around James, Wade and Bosh. That doesn't mean next year will be the same, I expect better things in the next couple of years.

How about this.........let's have my Spurs win it this year and then the Heat can have the next 3 titles. Good? Good :wink2:
