Damnit!!! Of all the players I could have lost on my 9 win team, Frank Gore is the LAST one I would have chosen. Out for the season with a fractured hip. I still have a solid team, but damn man... I was counting on him for the playoffs. Anyone else hurting in Fantasyland because of Gore's injury?
It doesn’t help one of my teams, but at the same time he hasn’t contributed a whole lot lately. Snag Brian Westbrook if you can. Anthony Dixon is a consolation prize.
This is the final week before playoffs, and myself and my opponet are playing for the final playoff spot, and his best player is Gore..... yay. me. however bro sorry for your loss...
Our trade deadline and waiver deadline has passed. I could've used Westbrook really, I got a terrible string of RBs L. Blount (picked him up in Wk 5 after the Steelers, great foresight by me ) B. Wells M. Bush M. Goodson (picked him up when Williams and Stewart went down) J. Ringer I'm not gonna win with a RB corps like that I'll tell ya, but I am 6th in a 12 man league right now.
I'm gonna pick up a guy who has nerves of steel. The multi-talented, multi-lateral, soon-to-be-multimillionaire [when he leaves the Patriots]: Mr. Danny Woodhead!
Just double checked and I can make wire moves. It is a bidding process and we were given $2500 for the season. Thanks for questioning that and stated that it seemed unlikely. I must've misinterpreted the post updates. Just put a $501 bid in for Westbrook - Drop Bernard Scott.
No prob. You might also want to grab Anthony Dixon if you have the roster room. At this point in the season, waiver claims are about denying players to your opponents just as much as they are about improving your team.
After the 501 bid I will only have $1k left. I may take Dixon and drop Brandon Tate or Javon Ringer, although I really like Ringer. If forgot to mention Ryan Matthews on my previous RB list. I forgot about him because he's been less than spectacular, or even less than average. Wasted No. 1 Pick (12th overall).
I have you all beat, and beat by a mile. I traded the boat for Frank Gore two weeks ago. In return, I got one week of 5 points where San Fran got shut out, and this week. Another 5 points and a season-ending hip injury. I'm fighting for the final playoff berth now, going against the best team in the league this Sunday. So not only am I likely cooked in fantasy this year, I didn't benefit one iota from the trade.
I have Gore on one of my teams but lucky for me I have Mendenhall & McF who can start. I did put in a waiver for Westbrook in all 3 of my teams in an attempt to prevent other teams from getting him.
