Granted, it is Rotoworld, typically though, Sparano doesn't play guys who cannot practice that week due to injuries.

I am of two minds on this, on one hand BM is a huge part of the passing offense.

On the other hand, he also demands to be fed the ball, maybe Marlon Moore or Roberto Wallace step in and Henne spreads the ball around more?

bad thing... Sure Hartline has been productive but IMO a lot of that has to do with the coverage that marshall demands.

He's demanding coverage and allowing the other receivers to open up. You want your best players on the field.

Good thing. Maybe he can learn to stop costing us yards with his stupid penalties.

    Couple of thoughts:

-99% of life is asking questions no one else will ask.

-when our passing attack is working the ball is thrown to a multiple of Receivers, with BM, that is lessened.

This is good, without him demanding so many passes it should open up opportunties for Lousaka Polite to get more passes thrown his way.

This is obviously bad. He's the best offensive player we have not counting Jake Long.

Joking aside, it won't be as bad of a thing if it forces Dan Henning to make a serious effort to get the running game working. But it's still not good. Just less bad.

Have a question for you my friend..Did you think the Heat would basically be a 500 team after 20 games?..

This game is all about Chad Henne...and IF there was a lesson being taught in the benching, and, if he has the capacity to grow.....Marshall probably is out, but Id like to see his *** strap it up with the dynamics were talking about, would love to see these 2 connect.

Henning wasn't going to use him when it matters anyway, and Fields and Henne(?) will be throwing & punting...

    You cant be serious...

We'd rather have the ball thrown to Marlon freakin Moore than Brandon Marshall??? Uhhh.... no.

Coverages completely change b/c of Marshall. W/o him on the field... it is even easier to defend our pathetic offense...

Henne was spreading the ball around just fine. With him at QB, Marshall was on pace for 100+ receptions, Bess was on pace for 90 rec, and Hartline was on pace for 60 rec...

I'm going to assume this thread was one big joke. Surely you can't be serious by suggesting 2 scrubs like Marlon Moore and Roberto Wallace can fill in for Brandon Marshall.

Nope, but then again they have lost on two buzzer beater shots.

I think you are right, but in the opposite direction deej, no Marshall means Henne, if he plays, now can step forward as "the guy" on offense, which to me is one of BM's problems, he believes he is the catalyst for the offense, Wr's rarely are...

    m=imho of course.

Bro, if you haven't noticed our offense has been pathetic with him, 100+ catch pace and all, sometimes a team does need the faceless to step up and make plays just to add some different looks to the defense, let them stick Nnamdi on Hartline..

The faceless should be showing up when Marshall is in the game.

Without Marshall it is plain and simple not good.

He is the best Wr on the team by a large margin.

Thats what I'm worried about. We are this bad with him... how bad are we going to be without him?

Remember how desperate our team was for a WR last year? How Hartline and Bess couldnt cut it? Well... we're back to that...

    Awesome...

I don't think we ever left "that" FN..lol!

Hartline if you recall came on really strong at the end of the season, and DBess was used more vertically down the seam of the field, that TD catch v the steelers was his longest reception of 2009.

Without BM, the offense can run through any Wr now, Bess Hartline Fasano even Moore or Wallace, there is no need to try and force BM the ball.

Which imho has been one of the problems for the O, they have been trying to justify Marshall rather than just hitting the open guy.

  25. Ozzy

That sounds like a problem with our OC. Not Brandon Marshall. If he is doubled or if a safety is kept in his remote area, then the OC should have some, no, a million designs to get the other one, two, or three players open. Instead he has his Qb force it in or he runs a stupid bubble screen. Now a screen can be deadly but when this team runs it, it's far more DEAD than deadly...

Our screens are deadly..in the wrong direction..:D

Just a hunch Ozman, and that is not a anti BM polemic, Henne did fine without BM so let's see what happens.

The only thing I can be sure of is that we won't get a penalty that involoves throwing the ball after the play. Anything else is debateable.

Some cats are what I'll just call "beacon" players, these are the guys who the defense says "he is not going to beat us" so far BM is that guy but BM being who he is, they still try to feed him the ball, with the vanilla Wr corps, who are they going to try and take away?

Stick Nnamdi on Hartline..tee hee...no, don't do that, we need Hartline...

When there is no one to take away..then what? The ball could be going anywhere among an equal crop of Receivers.

I am convinced Marshall has packed it in for the season. He is frustrated with how he is utilized, seemingly dislikes who is throwing him the football, and feels he would be better served by packing in the season. Hate to say that about a player, let alone ours...however I feel this is the case.

If he plays it would be a good thing, again I think he has packed it in. Our offense has been rather inept in recent weeks and having him off the field only makes our offense even less of a threat. You cannot take your best players out of the game and expect it to be a good thing imo.

Hes "packed it in"? Marshall hasnt shown an inking of that all year... and now that hes hurt, you think he has just decided hes going to milk it the rest of the year?

So basically, if our QB and team are going to evolve and get better, Henne is going to have to tame ''The *****''....lol..

That dynamic could be very well in play here when it comes to these freakin stud athlete's....Hi-level athletes trying to reach optimum levels of perfomance have to be motivated properly to do so...

As for the heat...2nd question...Does Pat riley get the same results from elite athletes as Eric S ?

Ideally the "other" Wr's step up and show BM that the sun does not set on him and that Henne, if he plays, is more efficient without BM.

    Athletes despise being shown up.

Well, BM, imo, is very forceful about demanding the ball, let's see what happens when he is not around, maybe he works on his hands a bit more?

Hard to tell, the NBA is such a mental game, they all are great athletes what seperates one from the next is the mental edge.

I would love to see John Wooden in the modern NBA.

Disagree Bro, BMarsh is hurt, when you see a leg hit then sort of vibrate up and down from their foot to their glutes, that was a serious impact.

Like a boxer catching a knock out punch, their face seems to shake for a minute because of the force.

I'll never doubt his competitive drive, I do question his mental approach and maybe putting himself over the team too often.

Somewhat agree, the other thing is that Henne has been programmed to only throw the ball to the wide open Wr, BM draws double teams or at least over the top help, when Henne tries to get him the ball he is fighting his instincts.

I don't think that's true. Brandon Marshall has had a LOT of balls thrown his way, and he's been doubled the whole time. Henne's been trying to get it to him.
