I would like to thank former Dolphin, Jason Allen, for gift wrapping another last minute win to the Jets...

I swear we are cursed with mediocrity and a lack of luck, whereas these schmucks pull horseshoes and nine lives out of their ***...

The Jets are now 8-2 but could easily be 4-6... These close games are wither going to make them be able to perform under pressure in the playoffs or they are going to get pounded cause they are not as good as their record reflects.

I agree M, the issue though is that with each of these wins you gain confidence (especially with your youth - Sanchez), which can only translate to success down the road.

Not sure it was totally Jason Allen's fault. It looked as if the deep help he was expecting was cheating towards the middle. Either way someone blew a coverage and the Jets took advantage. They've got a lucky horseshoe hanging over their heads this season. If that were us Henning would probably have called a wildcat trying to catch Houston by surprise.

Jason Allen with a big FU to Miami.

Still, I think that there's something to these Jets wins. You have to be doing something right in order to win these games. I hate to say it, but it's the truth.

Jason Allen is a f*ck up of LEGENDARY proportions... Your welcome Texans hes your problem now lol! There should be a spot for him in the Hall of Fame in Canton, OH when he is done getting burnt in the NFL... Cleaning toilets and waxing floors.

But of course, part of it is taking risks down the field, which up until recently, we fail to do. We are inept at closing games to boot...but frankly we are rarely up to begin with...

Yes and no. In this game, they made the plays and took advantage of a busted coverage. In other games they were the recipient of bad clock management and a poorly played interference penalty.

Jets have a Franchise Qb and a great coaching staff that knows how to use the players they have. simple.

It's hard to disagree with that assessment at this point. They don't try to make Sanchez play scared. It's hurt them at some points but now it appears to be paying dividends.

No doubt that the safety was late coming over... however, there is NO way in the world that Allen should EVER let a receiver get by him in that situation. That is why he sucks donkey balls.

Very true, coverage wise, the safety was supposed to go over the top, but Allen did him no favors by trailing Edwards (a good 3-5 yards). He also gave up the inside release on the subsequent TD pass (Sanchez threw to Holmes instead). If he stays with the receiver good things can occur: 1) the QB will look elsewhere, 2) the QB may force the throw into blanket coverage, and/or 3) you can actually make a play on the ball and negate a big play.

Used to think the Patriots were the luckiest team, seemed to always have the ball bounce their way. I now think the Jets are, but hey I'd take lucky wins over losses any day.

Its called situational awareness, and Jason Allen is a moron. With that much time left and the Jets w/o any timeouts you NEVER let a WR behind you, regardless of whether you have safety help. NY needed a TD. You play outside leverage, keep everything in front of you, and you win the game, that simple. A high school corner knows as much. Reminds me of the 3rd and 11 in our game in vs the Jets when we needed a stop and Allen gave a 60 yd cushion to Edwards then waited 5 minutes after the ball was thrown to get his head around. This was AFTER he had already dropped two picks and tripped on a blade of grass allowing Edwards an easy TD. I swear Braylon must have some incriminating photos of J Allen, there's no reason one WR should own one DB this much in one year.

You know, you just know it, the Jets are gonna win the SB. You can just feel it. I want to puke right now.

I don't know if anybody can beat the Jets with that luck that they have. One of the most injury free team this season as of late.

This is why I shook my head at all the people that hated the Jason Allen release because he led us in interceptions. While interceptions are great, you can't judge your corners on the number of INT's they get, and Jason Allen sucked. That's why he's in Houston. And we saw today why he was released.

Good teams usually get lucky. The Jests are a very good team.

However, their coaches have handed over the keys to Sanchez and the rest of the team is back seat driving and making SURE that Sanchez can't lose it for them. In turn he will gain confidence and is playing better than I ever thought he could or would. He's nothing special right now, but he's not making mistakes and he allows others to make plays.

IMO, the Jests know how to coach up a QB and are doing one hell of a job with Sanchez.

But having an old guy on your roster hurts the development of the younger players!!! Parcells is a douche. Too bad so many Dolphins fans saw fit to side with him over our former hall of fame defender two years ago. As if Bill Parcells personified winning and JT was to blame over the previous years of losing. Whatever. Maybe Sparano and company can give us new hope next weekend vs. a surprising Raiders team.

You can have Taylor back if you want. He's been invisible with the Jets. I can't honestly see how he would have helped your team this year.

I don't disagree, but there still should have been some help there. If you're going to depend on a moron who they just picked up off of waivers and with whom the Jets are quite familiar to hold the fort in a situation like that they probably got what they deserved. Note to Texans: There's a reason we waived him, and the Jets are probably fully aware of it.

Sanchez is making plays all by himself. The OLine the last 2 weeks has been swiss cheese. He has made so many play by buying time in the pocket. I'm not sure which games you have been watching. Henne would have been sacked 8 times today if he was the Jets QB.

I won't admit this to the usual Jets fan, but you've been a great member of our community BB, so I'll admit it to you. Sanchez has looked pretty damn good this year. I thought he'd be the kind that would never be able to handle the pressure, but I was wrong.

He'll still never win anything though, which is all that matters. :shifty:

I don't want Taylor back, just he and his agent so far made a good choice for him signing with the Jets. If no one else wanted to sign him then hats off.
