today is going to be such a depressing day. if our fins had won Thursday night, it would have been so enjoyable watching football today. now, with our fins losing, watching football today is going to be so painful, bc if all the teams we want to lose do lose, it will just be another wasted opportunity to have gained ground on those teams.

Nah, straight tea for me deej, and I really am interested in how Sparano performs in these final 6 games, if he did not sign Ugoh or Jones that means that he is happy with Murtha and McQ at tackle, those are his guys he is rolling with, let's see how they do.

I think the Redskins made a huge mistake switching from the 4-3 to the 3-4 Deej, they were a top 10 defense in 09, in 10 they are on the verge of making negative history.

As for McNabb, I never could figure that guy out, streaky Qb who had tons of success but was given away inside the NFCE?

Exactly Deej, this is his third yr of a 4 yr deal, very few coaches head into lame duck seasons, they typically are fired, or re-upped, prior to their final year as if not you wind up with either the Horror Shows in Carolina or Cincinati, or the Great performance in Chicago.

That is why I am saying this Oline thing is in Sparano's wheel house, fix it, perform the rest of the season, and he is re-upped (imo) finish 7-9 which means ending the season 3-5...for the second yr in a row a limp to the finish line performance and Anthony is in trouble and should be.

I really like Sparano. He has had a hell of a lot to deal with this season. Half the starters are under 25, and still developing. Half the starters are first time starters for us. Add in all the injuries and this season has been difficult at best.

He most definitely needs to be here next year.

 

The draft is for later. I was just talking FA, wondering if teams will give big bucks without a new CBA, and who may fit for our Phins.

 

Well, for me, I like them both of them, consider this though:

-The thought behind the Sparano Way is they can coach players up in how to play disciplined, tough, football, and anyone on the 53 man roster can step up to bat and play, with the injuries on the Oline and the season hanging in the balance, how those second tier players perform is pretty much either vindication or indictment of how Sparano is doing things in Miami.

Does his method work in his area of expertize, or does it not?

-I like the job Irish has done, he finds people but our NFL scouting of players is terrible, just really poor, their method does not seem to work on guys who have played elsewhere and had success, they can take a obscure player and turn them into something, they have been completely unable to identify, acquire and obtain production out of veteran NFL talent.

Padre, Depending on your definition of success with other teams, I have to disagree. Wilford and Wilson did have some but, nothing great. Smiley and Grove played very well for us, aside from the injury problems. IF we had both 100% healthy this year, we would be a different team. I have to include Penny as well. I'm sure we both agree with Dansby and Marshall.

 

Marshall was acquired via Trade, and those other players were not meant to be one or two yr stopgaps were they?

Eh, Titans Returner Mariani just busted a return for a TD, supposedly they looked at him prior to the draft, but of course passed on him.

That is his second TD return this yr.
