He also has fully moved into his Winter home..in Jupiter, I've said I suspect he winds up in ownership with the Jaguars, though a place like Buffalo, with presumably the #1 overall pick, would be attractive as Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey are both late additions in Buffalo.

I also suspect the Texans will clean house after yet another disappointing season in Houston.

Yes of course...look at how well he "fixed" our team.

Dinosaur. The game has passed him by. Retire and get fatter, man-****.

I think you would have been farther along had he also coached your team like he did with the Jets. And it's not fair to say that they aren't better today than when he came to the organization. I am not a fan of Parcells the person, but I respect Parcells the coach.

This is the best run we have been on since the Wanny Era Pagan.

Most folks just forget just how beaten down the Dolphins have been up until now, recall 6-10, 4-12, 9-7, 1-16?

Compare that to now, granted we are 5-5, and on the outside looking in at the playoffs, however we also have the third youngest team in the NFL.

    Tampa Bay iirc.

New England is also surprisingly young as well.

They're better today than when he came in? How so? One good year when we snuck up on everyone, then a mediocre year last year and headlong into mediocrity this year too?

Bro...I respect what Parcells was. Shula was also great, but the game eventually passed him by also.
Read my answer to Bick, padre. What "run" are we on? Didn't know we were on a "run".

So let me get this straight...one year going 11-5, the reverting to 7-9 and now 5-5 is improvement? Ah...gotcha now.

And as you pointed out...Tampa and New England are younger. They're also better.

    Getting tired of the excuses.

    What run are we on:

    Sparano's 11-5 and 7-9 and current 5-5 is the best run since Wanny's 2 x 11-5's 1 10-6 and one 9-7.

Tampa also does not win games against opponent's with winning records.

At this point last season the Jets were 4-6, and their own coach had written them off, so it is a touch premature to throw in the towel just yet.

Parcells accomplished very little here, let's be honest about it.

He got us from awful to mediocre, which is the easy part if you have any sort of competence and a little luck. The hard part is moving from mediocre to good/great, which is a move we haven't made and isn't coming right around the corner.

In his zeal to build a team of size, he forgot about the position that matters most, QB. While Drew Bledsoe wasn't the best QB ever, Parcells understood the value of having that guy who could go out and win you games and he eventually got a SB out of it.

Chad Henne is not even Bledsoe yet.

Agree with reaching mediocrity, that is what we are more or less, a part of that is their infatuation with Size over Playmakers, not so much the Qb position as Henne does not have very much to work with in terms of score from anywhere on the field types of players.

New England is going to be scary with how young they are and two first rounders next draft.

Which is why they will continue to mine the CFL/UFL/AFL and UDFA's, if this were an arms race the Patriots have so many picks we will never compete with them effectively if we just use the Draft alone, we have to find other avenues of talent to bring in and evaluate.

Yes he improved our team from 1-15.It was nice to see the Fins get in the playoffs even tho they were crushed by the Ravens.Other than that it's been the same average team it has been since Shula -and even Shula had been declining as a head coach towards the end of his tenure.
I still have that hope to see this team be great again one day but it ain't today and I hope next year as usual will be differant.
