Chris Simms being left-handed could help now. Would have been fine, without the Long injury.

I'd feel much more confident with either of them than JaMarcus Russel

I'd rather have Jamarcus Russell than either of those two and that's saying something.

I hate them both. I do not want either to take one snap for Miami. I'm not particularly excited about Jamarcus either. Or Todd Bouman. Or Brian St. Pierre. But I'd rather have any of those three over Simms or Ramsey.

Sometimes a boxer can take a beating so bad that it affects him the rest of his career. He's too timid, too scared. Patrick Ramsey and Chris Simms are that guy, to me.

If Thigpen gets hurt its over anyway, does not really matter who we bring in.

I would rather look for a young guy to sign off of someone's practice squad.

We just need bodies at this point. Besides, with Penny and Henne done, if Thiggy gets hurt the season is over anyhow.

    Whaaat?

You, of all people NJ, should know how NJ and Northeastern folks handle their business.

If Thiggy goes down, best believe Ronnie Brown can call about 20 plays, if a Qb comes in, they will spend hours with Lee and Henning, and I do mean until 2 am type of hours.

Crisis mode is when Sparano runs the best, some guys just feed off of stress like it were caffeine

That argument along with the coaching staff knows everything they need to know is a garbage one. Always has been. It means nothing. Warner was considered third rate backup material at the end of his career. You can't predict these things. Ramsey could fit here if Long can play.

Wow...a position that once looked deep and with a lot of potential suddenly looks rather bleak.

Unless of course Thigpen can stay healthy (and shine). Let's hope so.

Per OmarK, have to agree and also have to chuckle at the folks turning up their noses at Russel.

Personally, I'd work the UFL and maybe suspend the drive to develop players for the long term.

did it's job though, like a lizard breaking it's tail off to escape, the depth at Qb won this game.

    ST wins 1 game
    Depth wins 2 games

This was one of those games.

Let's just hope Henne is out only Thursday, and can at least b/u the rest of the way, if not start. That would help a lot at this point.

Guys, don't be shocked if Ireland trades for someone's promising 3rd stringer. Our next b/u could be a fifth-round pick away! (or something).

Anyone know of any #3s who have any promise out there??

Where are all the people who kept suggesting we trade Thigpen back before the season started? Heck, we had Henne and Penny they said, it would better to have a 4th rounder in the next draft than have Thigpen as the 3rd QB. LOL

a dislocated patella/knee cap is not a problem. pop it back in place and he's fine. if there is no accompanying fracture or ligament damage or meniscus damage the cat should be our starting qb on thursday night,,,, unless they bench him for another reason.

No way do I want Mr. Purple Drank. I really liked Chris Simms, but he hasn't been the same since he was pounded in Tampa. Ireland is going to have to be creative on this one.

well i wanted us to trade pennington first and if we decided to keep pennington then trade thigpen. i thought pennington's mission here was complete and i wasnt convinced thigpen is ever going to get consistent enough to matter. glad we didnt trade thigpen but it sure wouldve been sweet to get a draft choice for pennington
