He plays poorly last Sunday. Get's benched 4 days before his next game. He watches as his mentor/friend gets hurt and probably will never play again after only two plays. He comes in, with an angry B. Marsh, no running game and completes 67% of his passes, for 240yds, 1 TD, 1 INT with a 92 QBR to help win the game.

Yeah, this kid can't play. :shifty:

Henne sucks. I don't know what world you live in but 11 interceptions is not good.

He didn't throw 11 INT's today. Actually, he hasn't thrown 11 INT's all season either. He's had some very good games this season. He's had some bad games this season.

Also, the FO was so against bringing in Thiggy that they ran the WC how many times in a row in order to run out the 3rd quarter?

    But you know better, huh?

...and Thigpen was 4/6 for 64 and 1 TD 0 INT.

So whats the ratio of TD passes compared to Henne's? Thigpen: 6 passes...1 TD Pass. Henne 28 passes 1 TD/1 INT (and although it was a great PASS, that 1 TD pass was mostly due to great YAC by Cobbs)

If people complain this week about Henne it wont be due to stats though. Hell Brandon Marshall and Fasano loved him this week! :shifty:

Dear lord, do you even watch the game? Typical Henne. Can't move in the pocket, can't look away from primary receiver and fails to recognize who might be open after the first guy isn't. Confused doesn't even begin to describe his demeanor. His WR's facial expressions told the story.

LOL! They ran the WC to run out the 3rd quarter just in case Henne was okay to return, because if they put in Thigpen in the 3rd quarter Henne wouldn't be able to return if he was okay.

Also, are you in lala land? Chad Henne has thrown 11 interceptions for the year and sucks. I bet if he did throw 11 ints in a game tho you all would still be praising him lmao.

You do realize why they ran the WC to close out the 3rd qtr, right. Think about it then get back to us cause u obviously don't know the reason.

    Yet somehow...somehow...he completed 67% of his passes for 240yds with over 8 Y/P and a 92 QBR.

I sure am glad some people here never made it to the NFL with their AWESOME eye for talent! LMAO!

Correct. They didn't want Thiggy to finish the game. They even went so far as to run the WC numerous times in a row to try and avoid having Thiggy finish the game.

And no. Henne hasn't thrown 11 INT's this season.

Henne hasn't played that bad this year. We just can't punch it in when in the red zone. However it is funny that we scored more points than we have all year when going through 3 different quarterbacks.

They didn't want Thigpen to finish the game yet he led the Fins down the field for a touchdown? Makes total sense. And yes, Henne does have 11 interceptions on the season.

So the coaches knew that Thiggy would have a TD pass before he took one snap? They were so afraid of Thiggy coming in that they ran the WC over and over until the 3rd quarter ran out just in case Henne could come back in.

And no, Henne does not have 11 INT's on the season. The refs gave him an INT on his last throw in the Steelers game. He didn't throw that one though.

Sadly they're populating our forums faster than the plague.

Henne played well today, looked a bit tentative at times, but made some nice throws, the throw to Marshall deep was bad, but that happens on deep shots sometimes, theyre not the high percentage plays that the Madden games make them out to be. I'd give his play today a B- probably. That being said, there were a few times where he missed what could have been a developing opportunity. One that comes to mind was the 3rd down pass he made to Hartline that was short of the first down, when about 10 yards beyond that Marshall had single coverage heading into the endzone. Henne played it safe to Hartline, which probably wasnt a bad idea considering how well Finnegan was playing Marshall today, but you'd like to see him maybe take that shot. At the same time though, the decision wasnt a bad one, the unfortunate thing though is hartline was short of the first down marker, you can't nail the QB for that.

I agree with everything but this because the throw was off.

The throw to Cobbs that went for a TD should've been the same one to Hartline. It looked like the same play call too.

Only thing was the throw to Hartline was off so Hartline couldnt run to the outside like Cobbs did and get the first (maybe TD).

Of couse, Hartline could've adjusted differently after he caught it and tried to fight for yards on the outside but what are you going to do.

Honestly, your posts make no sense. I understand you love Henne and thats all fine and well, but the fact that you don't understand why they ran out the 3rd quarter with the WC and waited till the fourth quarter to put Thigpen in the game tells me either you don't understand the rules, or you've never played the game, or both. Hey Donovan McNabb made it all the way to the pro level and was paid millions of dollars and never knew that a regular season game could end in a tie, so to each their own.

Honestly, I like the forums because I get intelligent thoughts and feelings from my Dolfan brothers. When you new posters decide to antagonize people its very childish. It makes you look ignorant. Don't encourage these people. If someone has an opinion and you don't agree with it, move on or give your opinion in a resectable manner. Just saying.......

Henne has 11 INTs this year. I don't understand how one wouldn't know that simply just by looking at NFL.com

  28. Colorado Dolfan

    Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?

His point was, if you really believe that "interception" by Harrison in the Pitt game was actually an interception, then, yes, he has 11.

But since Harrison didn't actually intercept it, he doesn't count it. That's all.

    Spot on!!!

The benching clearly lit a fire under Henne's arse, and despite two bad passes (the most glaring, the interception), he was on fire, and taking chances - moreso than he has since the Jets game. Loved how he responded, and was sad to see him go.

I still like Henne long-term, and I hope he's only out this week. And if Thigpen comes out on fire and leads this team to a streak of wins, so be it, it's a VERY good problem to have!!

we will be shopping another QB even if Thigpen take us to the post-season
Pennington is physically through & Henne simply will never be a franchise quality
if Thigpen pans out this year we'll still be looking for more competition @ the position
I think Hennes days as a Dolphin are permanently on the bench or somewhere else

I guess you don't know the QB substitution rules do you ? If Thigpen had entered the game in 3rd qtr, Henne (whos status at that point was still unknown to the coaching staff) could not have come back in the game no matter what.

Before typing know the rules genius.

I'm just messin with MPF. I usually agree with most of his post.

I still have hope that Henne can turn the corner. I'm not sure you can teach him to look off receivers though. But I do think you can teach him to be more aggressive down the field. I do think we look for another QB in the draft.

LOL! I'm betting it's hard to get higher than the 99 I received. Anyhow, I had all branches contact me after I took the ASVAB. All branches told me I could do whatever I wanted with the score I obtained.

Alas, I chose to be a man and join the Marine Corps.

(My grandfather was pissed though. He retired from the Air Force after 23yrs. His words to me when he found out I was going into the Marines, "Boy, are you crazy? The Marines kill people.")

I normally respect everything you post Aqua, but now you're clearly being biased here. The pass to Hart was a flea-flicker and Chad had a split second to grip it and throw it, not to mention it was about 57 yards in the air. A better or more experienced #2 WR tracks the ball better so that he can catch it in stride and take it in for the score. And the other one, cmon now-- a better WR catches that pass, yet you're blaming the QB? That wasn't a poor throw and you know it.

At least the INT was on a throw down field. I guess no other QBs this season have thrown an INT when trying to go for a big play.

We're not getting a nice draft pick for either of them if Thiggy plays well. Good back up QBs are important in this league. If you get one, you don't let him go..... especially not when your original backup is probably done-for. Tyler has experience and knows our system.... so why would you want a draft pick for Thiggy when you'd have to turn around and draft a QB to replace him?

I think it is a pity that Henne has a good game, and shows some huge improvement, and a thread about it devolves.

For better or worse, Thiggy is the guy at Qb and will be for the next 4 games.

As for Henne, the ability to heal quickly is as much of a part of a Qb's skillset as running with the ball.
